I love how their banter has a familiarity beyond their real knowledge of eachother. Kind of like the Buffy and Spike in BTVS. He really likes her and misses her (or at least the idea of her) and it is showing. It is also showing that he has it in him to be sweet and attentive. And she wants him around ... or at least she is totally allowing him around her.

loved it!!!! so mad you cut it off here but i guess that means that the next chapter is going to be a great one. is spike going to be able to go into the delivery room with her. I guess my stop is coming up on the 'spike is an ass' train. i think it's time for me to get off of it. lol. great job. please post soon. loved it so much.

So Spike feels a loss... well he knows now what he missed too. Asking a bit what Buffy was going through won't give him the chance to be a part of it. He missed that. And it is the first time (the first time I noticed at last) that he thought Sod the bastard regarding his FiL. I wonder if the knowledge of Buffy having his child will give him courage to change his life; even if he thinks that Buffy won't be a part of it. Because he thinks Doyle is her boyfriend. I hope that is the kick he needs to change. He was too much of a coward to do it before. We'll see.

I can't wait until it's revealed that Doyle is nothing more than an old friend. I love the sense of loss that Spike is feeling-- Didn't know what he was missing until he thinks he can never have it. I really loved this chapter-- you did a lot to show what strength and insight William can have to offer, once he cleans up the rest of his act. Very, very nice.

I feel your pain Buffy...been there three times myself and its NEVER easy, but it is especially hard when you put all thats going on in her life into the mix:)

Good he followed. People in general are clueless about having babies, each one is different. Is he going to be a standup guy or not? I'll be waiting for your next chapter.

So glad he decided to follow - I could see him just leavting felling sorry for himself. And I really liked how he kept talking to her in the car to keep her mind off of what was going on - that was very cute.
