I'm enjoying the build up of tension between them and am interested in how Buffy ended up with Liam. I am surprised that she keeps referring to William as a boy though as he is so close in age to her. seems odd.

And William isn't happy because of his mayor? Too many pressure from his mother (and what his father wants) even if it is his life.
Buffy is the only one that doubts what Eve said, especially when she was known for sleeping around. His own father didn't (doubt Eve and believe Spike).

I think Buffy's immaturity is showing in her inability to put the kibosh on the flirting with William. She realizes that her postition as stepmother holds certain responsibilities, but it kind of all goes flying out the window when her glands go into overdrive. Of course, being William, it *is* an inordinate amount of temptation. ;-)

They're both trying so hard not to notice one another, it just seems to make them notice even more. You're ramping up the tension nicely even as Buffy is asserting herself as stepmom material...You're painting Liam as a self involved creep, and I'm looking forward to Buffy seeing this side of him, too. William's had a tough time of it, being raised by a trio of cold hearted bitches and a disinterested father.

Lead him right into trouble, indeed. Interesting how they both seem to know they should stay away from each other, and yet they keep drawing together. I can already see that things between Liam and William are probably going to get even more tense than they already are. I loved Buffy's little thought, "that must skip a generation." I definitely laughed when I read that.
