I'm a little weepy about how Spike calling Tara. And Kate looking at Buffy, knowing she might crack.

Good (at last I hope it's good) that Gunn is suspicious about the story that Spike is telling. I forgot how long it is possible to prove that you fired a gun. Buffy would have the traces but Spike doesn't. Here comes again the part that I don't know if you can wash it up (the traces, gunshot residue?) with soap.
Good that Buffy did pocket Spike's letter. Think of if he police had found it... At last they noticed the state Buffy is in. I wonder how Tara can help.
And you're right, these story has a lot of cliffhangers now :) I'll cross my fingers that you can update soon.

I really can't figure out which way you're going to take this. There are some decent plot lines in Spike's story that the police won't overlook, but Buffy really is in bad shape. Can't wait to read more!

Gunn and Kate are very smart......genuinely good people in the system. Makes things interesting.

Well, I hope at the very, very least they took a few pictures of Buffy's injuries and confiscated her night gown. Regardless of whatever happened I hope they have that evidence. And I'm so glad that Tara is around ot help take care of her. Poor girl needs someone like that around. I hope Kate and Gunn can work out something that doesn't let them both rot away without each other. Very emotional chapter. Well written, too. Looking forward to the next.

On the last chapter... I didn't leave a review cause I didn't know what to say. It was a great chapter and anyone who said it wasn't doesn't know what they are talking about.
This chapter.. wow, I like how Kate was going to be a hard ass but once she saw Buffy she didn't. Poor Buffy, its looking like all her life she's lost the people she has loved .... will William be next?

It's not Romeo and Juliet, neither is it Bonnie and Clyde; it just two people who are in love and got bad breaks. Angel was a bastard that is a given, is was also an abuser and a rapist, should he have died? Remember it was self defense. Darla had injuries divorcing the prick, hopefully you'll let them walk.

Unfortunately, you are so right about abused women rotting in prison for killing their husbands. You're doing a great job with this story. I'm encouraged by the reaction of the detective. Maybe she'll see what's really happened and give Buffy and Spike a chance. I'll be waiting to find out.

I'll be honest. I did not like the first few chapters of this story. In fact, I disliked them immensely. Thought it was boring and skipped ahead to the middle. But, what you've written here over the last 5 or so chapters is fantastic and I am anxiously waiting for more!!!

Sweetie, it totally all makes sense the way you've written it, and the character's actions are consistent, if misguided. I mean, planning to run away together to Mexico wasn't the brightest of plans either, so why would they both suddenly gain 30 IQ points?

I still don't buy all the excuses on why both of them will be so stupid. I still think one of them will be smart enough to tell them the truth. I don't care if self-defense isn't always a guarantee that would be a much better defense than just killing him. As soon as Spike saw Buffy he should have convince her to turn herself in. Or Buffy should have convince Spike to let her turn herself in. Although, Buffy shouldn't need to convince Spike if she really wanted to turn herself in. Lying to the cops is never, never a good thing. You only make things worse. How are they suppose to believe you once you lie to them.

I almost stopped reading from their stupidity. Seriously. But I might continue to read. This is just my opinion anyways.
