You had me for a long time with this, but the combination of like 6 chapters of nothing but the characters summarizing everything we already saw on the show, and then the lectureiness of Buffy having to learn that Spike doesn't need a soul, is just too much to take. The soul DID change Spike. And it kind of diminishes everything he went through to take it away and be all "He's still the same!" Spike certainly valued his soul, and I feel weird when fics try to act like it's nothing.

I don't want to be totally negative though, because I really do like the plot of this story, and I thought the first 20 chapters or so were quite strong. But really from the point Buffy entered the story, I've felt like there's too much of an agenda in wanting to teach her a lesson, and it's hurt the story.

I just read your entire story in two days and I loved it. The only problem of course is that it is not finished!!! Now I have to wait like everyone else for the updates. Hopefully I can be patient!

The already written chapter do slowly come to an end. I'll miss the daily updates then. I know you've already a new chapter written. Virtual chocolate for your muse for more? Oh.. so it was a misunderstanding. Buffy thought the soul stopped Spike from killing but it was his demon. Maybe what Buffy did see was his love for her, shining in his eyes.
Yeah, heavy of angst and sad that Spike still doesn't believe her. I wonder if Buffy will fight on now or if she'll will give up.
Still looking forward to another part (angst or no angst).


Author's Response: Buffy is hurt, but she isn't ready to give up yet. She knows now that Spike loves her, she just has to find a way to make him believe that she loves him too. :)

Oh no...He thinks tht cuz Buffy dnt trst him tht she still thinks of him as n evil guy...oh no...explain 2 him sum1!!!!oh hw bout Xander..hes all wise n manly nw.lol

Author's Response: ha ha ha !!! I think even the new and improved Xander would have a problem convincing Spike of anything. No, it's going to take someone who loves him to make him understand the truth. :)
