I keep reminding myself that Xander just saved the world from Dark Willow (you DID say all else from S6 happened) so Buffy has even more reason than her usual loyalty to not suspect Xander.

Hmm, I have to agree with scelto although I'm not entirely certain that even then Buffy will be ready to at least entertain the possibility that Xander isn't who she thinks. Besides Angel, I think Dawn may be the first to give in to her doubts.

Yes, all of the pulling on Spike's head wound may cause it to reopen but Xander could easily be argue that away by saying Spike was pulling on his hair during his nightmare. Also, Xander punched the wall during his encounter with Spike. Did it leave a mark and will Buffy see it? Will she make the connection that only Xander went upstairs?

Buffy isn't necessarily stupid but she has a knack for not seeing what's right in front of her. She doesn't want to believe that a human did this to Spike, let alone a human that she knows and is close friends with, so any plausible explanation that will support her bias of Scoobies = good she will gladly cling to it. She can't imagine that Xander or even Willow would give in to their insecurities and prejudices. Xander, as far as she is concerned could never do any such thing.

And how many of us would swear for a brother, sister or best friend because we believe in them and all the times they've been there for us only to discover we were completely wrong and we really didn' t know that person as well as we thought.

I'm just glad that Angel is convinced of his guilt and will be keeping an eye on him. Xander is going to have a hard time continuing to torment Spike if Angel gets on his back, especially is he starts to investigate him - like how did Xander get that torture equipment? Angel must be able to track those purchases back to him, even if they were through some underground scheme.

so yes, i just reviewed, a second ago... but i must mention something... with all of the hair pulling on xander's part... wouldn't Spike's wound have come back open? so i was thinking that i hope buffy sees that and realizes that hey, Dawn would never do something like that, and Spike sure as hell wouldn't rip open his own head wound... so yea... she should see it. or i'll kick her in the face for being such a 'tard.

obviously buffy has a long way to go before she finds out the truth...or wants to see it! loved it lots. hard for me to read cuz the truth was soooooo right in buffy's face and she didn't even notice it but loved it all the same. more soon.

Good GOD! Xander seriously needs a BIG ole wake up call... with a healthy dose of his own medicine. I'm really glad Angel isn't buying his crap, he may be Spike's only hope at this point.

Im sorry for saying this but I dont think Buffy is neither stupid or blind. If I was in her shoes I would totally believe in my best friend and she has every right to think that Angel is wrong. She has always put her family and friends first and this is no exception.
I not agree totally with the topics of your fictions but I like the way you write thats way I keep reading it.

Grrr. Xander's such an ass, and Buffy's so blind. Why does she have to be blind, now Spike's going to be in more torment. I really hope she believes it soon, because Xander seriously needs to get an ass kicking.
