This was a vividly detailed, emotional chapter. I loved Buffy's desperate run to Spike's crypt, and her devastation at finding it "[a]bandoned. Cold and unwelcoming, as it had never been before. Spike was truly gone.

Somewhere in the recesses of her mind was a list of men which had all summer, until this point, eluded revision. On it, she added Spike, the name of the one who was supposed to have stayed."

Spike's resurrection was also vivid, and his instinctual beeline for Revello Drive was a lovely surprise.

Author's Response: Thank you for this wonderful review! When the story was in its first rough outline, I knew I wanted to write the scene where Spike's duster no longer smells of him, and Buffy's subsequent trip to his crypt. I also had a lot of fun writing Spike's resurrection; although it was a little annoying because I constantly wanted to switch noun markers. Style dictated to leave it as was, using nothing but "he," but I still had to read over it a few times to make sure I hadn't inadvertantly slipped up before I revealed his name in the final sentence. That the duster would loose some of Spike's smell was bound to happen because Spike wasn't wearing them. But Giles left on his own account. Another one left Buffy. But talking to Tara was a good thing. And now for Buffy Spike is gone too after his last sent vanished. ~ There was another POV; I wonder if that was Spike, being somewhere. Indeed! Now when Buffy has giving up him he's back. I hope she'll be happy again if she comes home :)

Author's Response: I think that Tara makes for a good confidante; I was glad to see Buffy open up to her on the show, despite the fact that I didn't like the subject matter. :P The bit near the end will be coming up later; keep it in the back of your mind! Glad you're still enjoying my story. :)

You are seriously breaking my heart with this fic. If I wasn't helping you plot it your adopted sister, I'd be very ready to throttle you for your evil cliffhangers.

Yes! Awesome! Well-done, I watched Bargaining the other day and you captured that really well-- much love for this. :) And sadness to Buffy not being there! And I'm glad you're enjoying the story...I chose the title because the concept of this fic is obviously an alternate S6; more specifically, to show that certain events will happen no matter what, but overall it's the-same-but-different....it's chiral. Ohhhhh...he'sbackhe'sbackhe'sbackhe'sbackhe'sback!!!! Cannot WAIT to see what happens next! Spike winding up at Buffy's while she's at Spike's crypt is a nice and poingnant touch.
