I literally had to quit reading because I couldn't see thru my tears. It's so poignant, so. so...I don't know what.

First off, I for one loved part 2 of your story. I thought Spikes history was brilliantly written, & while I missed Buffys presence in the story, I was in no hurry for Spikes/Williams personal history to end. I think, Joss would be proud.

Second, part 3 thus far, as with every part of your story, brilliant. And I can't tell you how much I've cried in these last few chapters. Your writtings truly touching. I anxiously await more, please don't keep up waiting too long!

This story is absolutely enthralling, and I fear that it's ruined me for other Spuffy fics now...
I love that you took your time to develop the characters. I really appreciated how mature you've portrayed Buffy in the first part. She's still a little clueless about what's going on around her (she wouldn't be Buffy otherwise), but she shows a self-confidence that is usually non-existent in other fics. And she really gets William, and loves him for all his sweetness, devotion and awkwardness.
I love that you gifted us with rare glimpses into how ideal things could have been for our two lovebirds had their circumstances been different. William being so devoted and Buffy accepting his love and giving him a world of affection and esteem in return. I wish things could have stayed the same, but then the story would have come to an end pretty quickly, I guess. Hopefully the "and they lived happily ever after" will come later.
Part two was great. Writing about Spike saving the little girl in the coal bin was pure genius in my opinion. That what he said to Dawn in Crush was true absolutely makes sense to me in some weird way.
And now Buffy and Spike are reunited again... I can only imagine how confused they must be at the moment. I just hope that Buffy will remain as open as she was before coming back. Her friends will probably muck everything up like usual. I hated how Xander was so preoccupied with Spike coming into the Summers house when Buffy has finally showed up after months of being MIA. And how insensitive the Scoobies all were.
But I love everything else about your story. And this chapter was magnificent. Spike's memory... wow! And the Dawn/Spike interaction was a real treat to read.
I can't wait to see how things will unfold. I also wonder if Buffy could have brought back anything else other than the bracelet... Like some other tangible evidence of her relationship with William, maybe? And I'm also curious as to how she will react to Angel. After all, the last time she saw him, he left quite an impression on her...
Anyway, thank you so much for this story. It's a real pleasure to read you...

Author's Response: Thank you very much for your kind review! It's lovely to hear that you're enjoying what I've written that much. The coal bin scene was written on the fly; it wasn't planned at all. But I couldn't help but feel that underneath all that violence and anger, William still lurked ... and that he was still strong enough to override both the demon and his own rage, in order to do something selfless. That, I think, is the most concrete evidence that he can be redeemed. I'm so glad that you enjoyed the scene, and the story in general. Thank you for telling me so. :-)

Great chapter, but I don't look foward to Angel

The plot thickens with wiccans and Angel coming over. Why is it I do not think him flying in to save the day with be anything remotely close to the one thing Buffy probably right now wants and that is William comforting her. If anything him showing up will probably anger her and make her rehash the fact that her William is gone now and one of the reasons she lost him forever is standing right there in front of her. Buffy is very loyal to the core and Angel popping up when her wounds are still very much open will most likely not go over too well. I see him showing up and her seeing red looking into the eyes of her lovers companions killer. If Angel will sense or not her feelings towards Spike I have not a clue but the anticipation of the next part in this is eating away at me.

Spike's total recall of William's response to the lovemaking made me hurt for Spike's loss even more. I loved this passage: “Tell me how it made you feel when I did that. Did it feel good?”
William swallowed when she asked that question, and he felt the part of himself that was inside her throb an eager response.
“I—I didn’t know anything could feel so—”
“What?” she whispered.
“—extraordinary.”
She smiled then, and he could tell by her eyes that he had amused her. But her eyes were also full of understanding, of profound love. Her eyes told him that he was hers, and that she was, in some way, delighted by his reaction to her body…by the desperate fidgeting he could not control." Buffy well and truly loved William and his sweetness and naivete. How can she possibly look at Spike and see her William? How can she not? I can't wait for another meeting between them.

The relationship between Spike and Dawn is wonderful. They're thick as thieves and supportive and intuitive with one another. I'm looking forward to how they're going to react to Angel's presence. Dawn seems to take her cues from Spike, so there should be a boatload of snarky anger and hurt feelings. Will Angel sense the innate connection between Spike and Buffy now? Again, I'm eager to read more.

This was another vivid, tight chapter. The attention to detail makes each of the scenes sing, and the characters ring true emotionally throughout. Thank you for taking such care with this.

Iit is time for the scoobie fun wagon to go home now for a little bit, and now Angels coming for a visit next thing Buffys period will be late and Glory with turn up to be the midwife. God this fic is so good makes me wanna fast forward time myself to the day the next chapter is posted. Where is a hell God when you need one or a witch with a mirror to make the time pass here so its update day!

Love the way Dawn nurtures Spike and tries to help Buffy with Spike since they both basically ignored by the Scoobies. The flashback to the past was bittersweet considering the time that has passed for Spike and not for Buffy. Looking forward to more chapters.

Not often do you get a woman writer who can write the role of a man very well. You can always tell when a girl tries to write from the male perspective and you have done it and done it really well. This is just fantastic!

Author's Response: That's great to know! It's always a fear, when writing about someone of the opposite sex, that their thoughts and actions will ring untrue. Getting into Spike's head felt surprisingly easy, but, of course, it's hard for a writer to tell these things on their own, being so close to the story.
