It's odd that Angel had the perfect opportunity to do something nice, something really GOOD for Spike and he let simpering romantic feelings & jealousy guide him. Good thing Dawn has more of Joyce in her. She's so kind and sweet. Well, not sweet, exactly...

If Angel knows Buffy as good as he does no matter what he spats at Spike for Buffy to actually go and say she would marry anyone in the past from her present hes gotta knows it means something. He can beat down and insult Spike all he wants but we all know Buffy unless in serious love would not just say she'd up and marry anybody. I liked Dawn standing up for Spike at least he has one person who is looking out for him. And it is good Dawn was the person he could break down with.
It was so perfect and awkward and Buffys and Spikes conversation neither can face the other one really and yet thats the one person they want to face. Angels and Spikes face off went down really well too just enough hate and bitterness mixed with jealousy

She did notice his wounds and it got some reaction out of her maybe the next time they meet it will go better for them. They are both kinda shielding themselves from being hurt right now its a good natural defense that was written very well into the scene. The tension and embarrassment of not wanting to look at the other and the need* to know what the other is thinking or trying to pull forth some part of the person they knew before when they were in love was so brilliantly done. You put it so well with Buffy separating Spike from her William and making then into two separate people. While Spike see's it as his like his memories and his whole self because it is him and you cannot divide his former life to present unlife. I enjoyed this immensely cause you had the guts to take the story there. I really can't wait till your next update.

I knew she would ask about Anne and he would not be able to answer her and then Spikes confrontation with Angel did not help him out either. Buffy has to at some point have some understanding he had a 100 plus years what exactly did she think he would do when she already knew he would be turned? LOL Now I'm laughing at myself because I feel the need to defend him. Great story you have me so into it I am turning into Dawn in my review.

Even with one look from Buffy she can the whole of Spike unravel just by her sadness. They both seem to need each other so badly and yet just keep clashing heads and hurt with one another. I'm curious as to what Angel will do now knowing Buffy was the love of Williams and now Spikes life and if he will just walk away. It was good you gave Spike Dawn to lean on at the end for he needed someone badly just as Buffy did falling apart with Angel. I have hopes within hopes that these two can work it out there is too much love not to.

As hard as he's worked to suppress his humanity over the years, Buffy is able to bring William out of Spike in an instant. I don't think she will be able to remain blind to this fact forever.
