Yes Spike like Angel is capable of doing just about anything evil but what id Spike had a reason not to be getting revenge or doing evil anymore? It will be cool to see if given a choice of having Buffy or just returning to killing what would he choose. His whole basis of hate with Buffy was her showing up and looking like Elizabeth and now knowing shes the same person and all what will he do if she came to him?
I can't wait for more of this to come.

So she has got a lot to consider and think over on that long bus ride home. Letting herself even think about loving Spike is a lot to even allow herself to think about but at least now she is thinking about it. This whole page warmed my heart with hope.

I loved this chapter because it finally has Buffy seeing that Angel enjoed being a monster where as Spike never really did in the same way as Angel enjoyed his evil.
I know you gave us 2 pages this week but I will whine anyways and ask for more lol.

She has come onto her own and everyone does lie you just have to seek out the bits of truth mixed in there.

Angel always wants Spike to seem as evil as he was and he is just not and I'm hoping Buffy can differentiate that.
I feel greedy now but I want more!!

I like how she ignored what her friends and family said and just went for it. She went out and got the info she needs to help her choose what she wants most in or out of her life.

Yesssssssssssssssssssssss! She's starting to see how in her going back and her leaving effected Spike and how if he did not still have a part of William inside of him how Williams old enemies like Archer and stuff would not have mattered at all to a complete demon. He is still inside of Spike.

Excellent. As an opener the dream is inspired because it opens Buffy up to the possibilities of there still being her William within Spike. And like a girl with a mission, she steam-rollers over the obstacles that are a Watcher and a bunch of Scoobies and ends up in LA confronting Angel with her suspicion that he lied. Back in the day of their romance, hate, then romance: he lied. Angel's admission to this gives her tearful pause, but then it shows her a glimmer of hope. And Angel becomes desperate, for he sees where this is going. Spike. And to Buffy, now aka William.

But in her rush to embrace this smigeon of hope and turn it into her raison d'etre - will she not see that in reality what she reaches for will always, now, be Spike.
We already know there is the humanity of William within him, but predominantly he is Spike, coloured by the trials of his life and his death and the bloody history of his unlife. Just like in her dream, the man she comforts has blue, blue eyes but with fangs descending -

This is an epic that you have so effectively drawn with a compellingly original story of a very familiar theme.

I love it.

Spike's demon remembers his love for Buffy and he wants it to continue. Angel's demon remembers his love for Buffy and he wants to kill it and Angel thinks that he and Spike are alike! Spike can control his demon without a chip and without a soul for his love and Buffy can see both William and Spike as one - yippee. Please make Buffy want Spike - all he wants is to be wanted. As amazing as ever - thank you so much for making my day more enjoyable.

Author's Response: Angel is projecting onto Spike partly because of his own reactions to being turned, but also because he's hoping to deter Buffy from returning to Spike (William). I don't think he's necessarily trying to be an arse, but the results certainly make him seem that way, lol. Thanks for reviewing. :)
