I hope this job isn't some fight club or some underground horror story with the Initiative buying vamps or worse. But maybe its somebody for one looking out for Spike its intriguing to see how thats gonna work out. Spike in school was really cute and his and Dawns friendship is one that works. Giles is starting to irk me simply because he's making his own judgments on William Hartly without ever knowing who he was or what his intentions were he just sums up William as a man who had the power of the time to take advantage of Buffy and does not give it a thought that not everyone would be that evil as a man of that time. Lot's of prejudices going about and Buffy is gonna have to knock down a few walls there.

Eeek this mystery money seems a little too good to be true I hope its not for a hit on Buffy or hellmouth gig. Spike is so blinded right now by his love he's not thinking things thru past the next moment I just hope he doesn't get himself killed for a second.

Spike relationship with Dawn is a lot like his relationship with Anne where he's paired with someone he trusts trying to find a way to help Buffy without her really knowing. At some point I hope Buffy finds out a little just how far William and then Spike have gone out of their way to save her. It she didnt' already care for him I don't she how she could not love him after all of this. Dawn coming over about the money was good and her prodding into why Spike was making these changes was also good even if it embarrassed him a little. He needs to see he can't turn into someone he isn't to just to be with Buffy I mean if he had to do all that he's have to go back in fashion time and dress in William wear and put on glasses and change back to his old style of hair. Buffy's not Elizabeth anymore then he is the guy he used to be they just need to find a middle ground together. Alright I seem to be going on a Fttp rant but I cant help myself! Please add more soon

50 odd some pages in and this still grabs me and pulls me in. I'm not sure what I can say that I have not already said but this is a must read for any Buffy fan.

I realize Giles is doing what he is doing in like a watcher/father sense but I would just love for Spike and Giles to once have a conversation about his past as William and how he came to know Elizabeth. Not that Spike should have to open up all his secrets to anyone it just might get them off Spikes back a little.This story really makes you think theres more to becoming evil then just being evil and that everything has a purpose.In tipical post-teen fashion Willow and Xander just dont see how narrow minded they're being its a good thing they have Tara and Anya cause I think after this meeting at the M. box their all gonna neeed someone.

I loved the whole scene with Spike and Dawn and her asking his age and him trying to hide it it totally made me crack a grin and was a good leading in set up for the rest of the page. Buffy Spike and Dawn are all creating a sort of family circle together here and it seems the gang and Giles haven't seems to bother to take up any notice. Sometimes though ride awakenings are the the only way to get people to really see you and that might just be what exactly this slayer needs. Alright I gotta pretend to get back to work here and not obsessing over this story.

Oh yes Buffy has become her own woman and shes not gonna be pushed into anything she doesn't want anymore. Maybe it was William loving her or all that has happened but shes really blossoming into a new woman with Spike by her side. How they all will deal with it is a whole other story lol. I have probably said it all before but kick ass chapter!

Wow Buffy opening up to Dawn and Dawn being just as open in responding I especially liked the Spike parts of Dawn pointing a few things out to Buffy and her really listening to her sister. Very good to see they have a actual relationship other then always at odds in so many other stories. And the blood to Spikes lip was so seductive and Buffy almost marking him as hers. I am so dying to see how Giles and her friemds react t o this bit of new that she won't be everyones pawn anymore. I liked how you even wrote in how kinda nervouse she was made it all the more real.

am curious on this job of Spikes with the weird set up of him being pre-paid makes me sorta wonder if it's not the council or something pulling a double cross and trying to have him eliminated. Sure it could be just a underground demon sort of job but given he was offered it at Wilies it gives me not a good vibe. But on the the other side it gives Spike a purpose in helping the women he loves so I will just have to tune in for the next update in this to see what happens.
