Huzzah! I'm so happy to see that Buffy finally found the strength to stand up for herself! Spike seriously needed to hear that. It's strange to be glad to see Riley enter the picture, but I think that's only because I know that in the long run, it'll be Spuffy. Things need to happen before we get there, of course, and Riley will probably unwittingly help move things in that direction. Probably.

Hi guys! Just a note to say sorry for not keeping up to my daily updates. I was working all day yesterday and last night I went out and got very drunk and am now feeling the effects!! Yeah Spike had it coming that bastard. I was so proud of Buffy's way of handling the situation. I know that I was just as shocked as buffy to hear Spike's words. And I have no problem with Riley/Buffy. If I have to sit through Spike/Dru there can definitely be some RIley/Buffy. And please make riley a nice guy who will treat buffy well. And make her happy so Spike will die of jealousy. Update soon, please.

Excellent! I loved this chapter and I loved how we finally get to see the ass-kicking Buffy we all know who won't let anyone push her around. I am SOO glad she finally got to stand up to Spike and tell him some much-needed truths. I can't wait to see what develops on the Buffy/Riley front (nothing too graphic please; that might make me nauseous) but, maybe that will give Spike the eye-awakening he needs to figure out that the ho-bag he's with is probably cheating on him and that he let the golden girl slip through his fingers. I hope Spike gets a strong taste of his own medicine and sees what he's done and what he's lost. Keep up the great work, and please update soon!!

Oh you don't know how much I love you right now.. You have no idea how HAPPY you've made me feel with this chapter. I had the biggest grin on my face the whole time I was reading it. It's just FANTASTIC! It's like everything I said in my review yesterday, about my hopes/wishes actualy just came true!! OMG! This is just VERY good. I might;ve loved this fic yesterday, but now, I'm addicted, and absolutely in love with it.

Gotta say - I hadn't read this sooner because the title gave me an idea of the storyline and I didn't feel in the mood for a 'Buffy as victim' fic. I did however decide to read the reviews today to get an idea of people's reactions and that led me to read the whole story thus far. Sooo pleased I did! Have to agree that Spike is a complete jerk...empty and soulless, without empathy, consideration or respect for others. Buffy's been a walkover too until this chapter so I'm pleased she's starting to remember her own value. Looking forward to your next update. PS - Did Joyce just have a sucky divorce lawyer or are her former matrimonial properties just not sorted yet? Not that money will change the intrinsic value (or lack thereof) of any of our key players but I just have to wonder.
