I just wanted to say that you shouldn't let yourself get worked up because oooooo. He/she isn't worth it, this is a great story and it wouldn't be a good story without the angst.

Oh, as for 'ooooooo' and such: I believe Pari mentioned this in her comments on the board.

It's one thing to give constructive criticism (oops prolly spelled that one wrong!) and another to be a jerk about ragging on someone else's hard work.

It's ppl like this that cause writers on these sites to just drop their stories, etc.

Oh well....maybe ooooo will drop out of sight for a while.

In the mean time, I would like to address 'ooooos' remark about 'male bashing' etc. I'm a female and I certainly don't consider myself a male basher. I realize that there are nasty females out there, believe me. We're getting a little generic with out accusations hon.

In this fic, Buffy is a young, young woman, naive and trusting; not a hardened bitch. Spike on the other is hardened and jaded and likes to fu"" around. This is how the author is writing the story because that's the plot., period. She's certainly writing most of the males in this tale to be quite nice and all.

Come on, didn't we all know a Spike or two from this story in HS? And, for that matter, a Buffy, Willow and even Drusilla? (Okay, so Drusilla is a stretch but then she was in the show too LOL!)

What I'm getting at is that I don't feel that all writers always bash Spike as a prick and make Buffy a saint! Come on, Buffy's been a bad girl in a lot of fics here.

Seems that the honeymoon has not lasted between Spike and Dru ;)!...

"Now that he had Dru, he no longer needed anyone else, including Buffy" (in chapter 4) as he said... ARFF :)! Now THAT sounds funny!

Spike seems to experiment now this old sentence, "We know what we had once we lost it"...

Concerning Riley in the previous chapter, even if the guy seems a nice guy, I think that somewhere, he would tend to judge Buffy if he knew she really had an affair with Spike. And Buffy sensed it : "She could either tell Riley the truth and risk him dumping her, "

The way he says: "Buffy, I’m sorry for doubting you" for example...

"Doubting"??? God, what a word! As if Buffy made something bad, wrong! Even if she slept with Spike, is it a crime? She was in love with him and the one hurt in this affair.

Everyone has a past, and Riley gives the impression he forgets that. Maybe I'm wrong, but I can't help myself, it's the way I see him.

I repeat myself, but I love your story. Each new chapter is a good surprise. I'm never deceived :).

jamesgirl, despite the obstacles you've placed before Spike and Buffy, I look forward to the plan you have for bringing them together - cause Spike may be a first class ass but perhaps Riley is something a bit more sinister. And somehow I doubt that Dru's "busy" evenings are entirely innocent. Spike may be in for a very rude awakening and a taste of his own medicine.

ummm...I'd just like to point something out. Don't get me wrong i am definately a spuffy fan

Buffy wasn't nice to spike when they were together in season 6. Let's face it she was abusive. BUT Spike still started out the worst if you go back to the beginning. I mean hello....he murdered people for fun. He taunted Buffy pretty bad in season 4 (much more than i would take from anyone). He wasn't even that nice to her when they were together. And sad but true girls will usually always go back to a guy who is abusive to them. I mean just talk to anyone who works at a woman's shelter. In fact, this story actually makes Buffy much stronger than a lot of women out there by rejecting Spike when he comes to her room.

So I'd like to finish by saying that this story is really good at showing how Spike's emotions gradually change and Buffy is trying to get over him. I think you're doing a great job.

Seems unfair that one person (ooooo) could mean that those of us who are not registered will not be able to voice our opinions about these stories. Surely if you feel that strongly against a story you should just stop reading and let every make up their own minds. I assume that authors realise that they will not receive completely positive reviews but that said, if the review is negative, then review and leave said author alone.

I can't work out how this will end - having said that it is a Spuffy website so I have a good idea. People can change and people can forgive. Please keep going with this and I look forward to future updates.
