Great chapter.

I really like this story and look forward to each chapter. I'm sorry I do have to comment on the geography though. I know you're in England and so where bays and boardwalks and outdoor markets are is not expected knowledge and I can live with that. But when the next day's events include Venice Beach, or Disneyland, or a helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon I have to say something. Venice Beach sounds like where Buffy took him although they might have wound up in my neighborhood a short ways south of there, so I can live with it. Disneyland is doable down in Orange County. But the Grand Canyon is like three states east of there and a helicopter tour is just not doable for one of the next day's loosely planned activities. It's just not probable, even if they took a private chartered plane there and back. Just had to mention that. I love the angst on the horizon and am really looking forward to the high school social complications as that is the main draw for me in this story so I hope we really get to dwell there for awhile and don't gloss over it too quickly. But I really do love the story and hope you update again very soon. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Wonderful! I'm glad Buffy decided to come clean with Riley and to break up with him, because, even if I always hate captain cardboard with a passion, he's been nothing but sweet and a true friend to Buffy in this fic. Now I'm really really curious to see what Dru will come up with to try and tear Spike away from Buffy and back to her. Please update soon! I'm well and truly hooked to this story! :D Uh... sorry for any mistakes in my reviews, but English isn't my first language. I just hope everything I try to say is clear enough. : p

I'm glad that Buffy voiced her concerns regarding the extravagant preparations that Spike had intended. Buffy was gentle, yet firm and Spike may find out that the day Buffy has in mind can be just as memorable because it is time spent together just being themselves without grand gestures. If Spike continued on that path, he would always feel pressured to out do his last feat and that would only distract from them getting to know each other and just feel comfortable together. In casual settings, Spike could gain insight to Buffy’s personality and kind nature with the added benefit of discovering what goals they each have for their own lives. Being a “trust fund” child could Spike aspire to rise above the family wealth and make something of himself on his own merits? Buffy probably has no “rose colored” visions of her future and has plans to pursue her dreams with hard work and determination. If wealthy people ever had to go out and work a menial job, they would not be so quick to burn a hole in their allowance. Perhaps if Spike lost his wallet and had to work for his meal and/or ride back to their room, he would better appreciate those who he has arrogantly looked down upon in his past.

I love Spike’s version of a goodnight kiss (snickers) and have to say that the chapter was well worth the read to see him do an unselfish act to give pleasure to Buffy. Thanks for the update, I loved reading it.

I REALLY LIKE THE WAY THIS STORY IS DEVELOPING, BUT I KNOW ANGST IS ON THE WAY , YOUR A GREAT WRITER , MORE PLEASE.
