Fun chapter, I absolutely loved it! Spike and Buffy's interactions sure are entertaining! I also like how Gunn's character is fleshing out, and the scene between Spike and the twins was so sweet. Great update! :D

What a wonderful finish to my weekend. I thoroughly enjoyed this new chaptert. Spike was so sweet to take her 'off base' to the shop for the tampons. Methinks that Buff'y's growing feelings for Spike will mean that she works and trains as hard as she can and will 'pass out' with flying colors. I would luv it if a 'joint mission' feature's in their future. I'm sure you've got something good planned. Looking forward to the next update.

that was too funny. i had a girlfriend that was too embarrassed to buy tampons in front of her boyfriend, she had me buy them for her, i had to have my boyfriend drive me as i did not have my drivers license at the time. she got mad at me when i took them out of the bag and tossed them to her while she was standing next to her boyfriend. like he did not know what happens every month, yeah right. lmao. now she yells at him and tells him he better not forget her tampons after 30 years of marriage still lmao. i know and hope in spuffyland that they will end up on the same post or base after basic training and hope that lindsay does not get hold of buffy of if he does she is saved in time. cant wait for your next post. keep up the good work, also looking forward to posts for TE and LFL

Author's Response: Nope, Spike is not a fan of skin and bones - he needs him a handful of something to grab - it's healthier. Oh god, I couldn't help writing that whole 'slap myself silly back to my senses part'. I could see him doing that given his situation. Yeah, Lindsey is a real creep, but it brings out the protective/possessive Spike - which is a good thing. Wow. i was in such a bad mood after reading the latest updates to "His dirty little secret" (which i was glad to see) and "love island" (which latest chapter is the reason for my bad mood) I found your update and am feeling much better now. Althoigh I miss TE this fic IITAN as me enthralled but how is it going to work if Spike is reassigned? can't wait for next update.

Oh, wow! I've just started reading this and I am so thoroughly glad that I have! This is superb.

The first chapter did an excellent job in laying the scene and allowing the reader to build empathy for the characters, Spike included. The sparring in the second was wonderfully cathartic and vivdly written. For that moment, I was Buffy.

I'm pleased that Buffy is now getting to see more of Spike(!) in terms of the different nuances of his personality as well as in the more literal sense. And the scene with Xander: hilarious! In fact, I am still on a high...

Just to make it abundantly clear: I am loving this story and can hardly wait for more!

I think the first chappy was the hardest b/c of the dry material, but I'm glad you understood it served to set the atmosphere for the story to take place in. Oh, I loved writing the part where Spike gets his comeupance - he soooo needed it. Yup, little glimpses here and there for our couple, getting them to think, even if just a little bit, about one another in a different light. Oh the banner, once kitty finished it and sent it to me, well, let's just say its my laptop wallpaper - totally droolworthy.
