OH I loved the He's clean part, I was trying to figure out what she ment by it at first till she told Buffy she might want to go on the Pill very fast.

Wonder where they will go and if she will used Faiths present.

Author's Response: Giggles, glad you liked that part. You can bet Buffy will have to get on the pill soon, *winks*, but I shan't say a word more on the condom, *winks*. Thanks for the lovely review sweety, hugs.

Ooh! I loved that chapter. Things are starting to move on a pace aren't they? I can't wait for them to kiss. Which is really funny when thinking of all the things they've got up to before it. Please can we have a warm passionate and loving meeting of lips and tongues that will shock them both to their very core!!!

Ps Sending healing thoughts Jolynn's way. You both are, imo, among the best writers of Au spuffy fanfic.

Author's Response: Oh yes, things are moving right along and a lot of that is in part due to their long seperation. Distance has a wonderful way of giving a person a clearer perspective and of course makes the heasart grow fonder. Awwww, I'm truly blushing and very, very grateful for your compliment. I adore Jolynn for the nice person that she is and of course would love to be as good as her one day in my writing. It tickles me pink to know my efforts so far have paid off enough that you would say that, thank you. And thanks for the awesome review my dear. Hugs you tight.

AS ALWAYS I LOVED THE CHAPPIE! I AM SOOOOO SAD THAT THIS ONE IS COMIN' TO AN END :(

LMAO! YOU KNOW THE CHIGGERS THING WAS ONE OF MY FAVE LINES IN THIS CHAP! THE BANTER WAS JUST ENOUGH TO GIVE US A GOOD GIGGLE YET NOT TOO HEAVY THAT OUR TWO FAVORITE BLONDES COULDN'T ENJOY THEMSELVES ;)

ANG

Author's Response: I know - we'll have to go out and have a beer when its time to lay it to rest. Tina spills some beer on the ground - "One for my homy", LMFAO. Chiggers - hee hee, I'll never forget how hard you laughed over that when you first read it - it was pretty fuckin hilarious *I'm sitting here laughin right now*. Hmmm, twisted... yes, I can do that. Must come up with some naughty bits before wrapping it up, hee hee. THanks for all your help on this sweety - you are THE best. And gues what? W'RE GOING TO MEET JAMES MARSTERS THIS SUMMER!!! oh my god why can't my hubbie send my flowers ....thanks for telling us what Chiggers were to I'd heard of them but not being from the US I wasn't sure what they were...Glad Spike didn't get them though they don't sound very nice ...As for Faith snooping the files I think I would of done the same if it had been my friend and the condoms thought they were standard issuse to army personnel...So why didn't Buffy have any of here own ? okay thinking to much again....I'll leave you with this I love this can I have another chapter update soon please...

Author's Response: Tell your hubby he has to at least send you flowers once a year or I'll sick my muse on him, lol. Yeah, I wasn't too sure if everyone would know what chiggers were or not and so thought the explanation was needed so they could laugh when the time came. LMFAO... condoms were standard issue during the war - the old war, but nowadays they're not. Instead, they are provided free by the gov't, but its the fact that not many men feel gutsy enough to ask for them - at the doctors office. When I worked in the ER in Korea, we had a box of free condoms sitting out on the front desk and if anyone wanted 1, , 3, or however many, all they had to do was just walk in and take it. Believe it or not, we had to put a new (industrial size box) of them out each week. I always saw the same guys (and women too) constantly walk in on a friday night looking all good and what not, take 2 or 3, smile at me and then leave. Some men are just too embarassed for whatever reason. Being in the medical field, I'd rather see them take it and blush than see them come in and have to look at their snotty dripping parts - yuck... been there, done that, NOT pretty. I'm thrilled you enjoyed the chapter hon and thank you so very much for the wonderful review. Huggles.

Love how you put personal stuff in your writing like the looking up of records. It makes it more human. Also do not like bugs, any bugs. Yuck.

Author's Response: giggles - some stuff is just too funny not to share so I'm glad you like that. LOL - bugs don't bother me too much, but spiders is what creeps me out, yick! Thanks for the great review darling. Smoochies to you.

Okay, if I say any more fantastic things about your story, you're going to think I'm a spuffy stalker, but can I just say I saw the update today and did a Snoopy Dance, I was so excited. I loved, loved, loved, this chapter. I love seeing their feelings develop and can't wait to see where the next chapter heads.
Side note- I lived in South Carolina for 8 years and can totally relate to the nightmare of chiggers!!!!!

Author's Response: LMAO - nah, I know you're not a spuffy stalker. I love getting that snoopy dance feeling myself when I see something I want to read. Ahhhh yes, so you know first hand from having lived in the south what its like with those pesky critters, *shudders*. I'm so happy you liked the chappy sweety. Thank you so much for the great review. Hugs and kisses.

Very sweet chapter. You moved their relationship along very well without it seeming rushed. Not an easy thing to do, but you did it well. I also loved it when you had Buffy tell him to go back to being irritating Spike. I like William, but too many stories have Spike become William and act in a sappy, namby pamby way that completely turns me off. As we have discussed before, I have a thing for the bad boy, but I like the character best when he is a good blend of the two sides of his personality. People are not one dimensional, so the fiction is much better when the characters are not as well. You always make a good blend of Spike/William. I also like that Buffy is testing him, but realizing immediatly that he is working hard for her, because he cares about her. I really hate to see this story end, but I am revved up for the hot interlude that I am sure (hint, hint) that you are going to give us before you do end it. A side note: Has real life settled down any since you last spoke of it? Congrats on the new house? Will it be your first? I hope all is well. Thanks again for a great chapter!!

Author's Response: Thank you soooo much. I was very worried about how fast it would be percieved br readers that the relationship is going so well and progressing. I think it helps having them seperated for that six weeks - heart grows fonder and all that rot, *giggles*. I don't mind writing Spike having tender moments and a softer side, but didn't feel William has any place in this fic - too whimpy. Oh yeah - bad boys all the way, soooo much more fun. And I don't feel so bad now for writing Buffy as testing him a bit, especially considering what he's put her through. And of course, she's appreciating his efforts very much and liking what she sees of the man underneath. I'm definetely going to miss writing this once it's done, but I didn't want to drag it out any further than it had to be. Naturally, *winks*, you'll get your dose of hot spuffy luvin. THere's no way I'm going to cheat the readers out of that one, lol. As for RL, well, it hasn't truly settled down as of yet. Still runing over details with the house and such and of course I'll be moving in by myself at the end of April. Yes, it's our first hom ever and I'm uber excited about it, probably even more so b/c I get to pick and choose everything I want about it and the design. Once its finished, I'll have to post some pictures in my LJ. My study is the room I'm excited about most - making it all muse friendly and such, lol. I'm so thrilled you liked the entire chapter sweety and can't thank you enough for the lovely review. Hugs you tight.

The end?? Oh no !!!!!!!! This chapter was bloody amazing on so many levels. It was loving, sweet, tempting and erotic in an innocent way, had me smiling thru the whole thing. The attraction was always there, but the connection between the two grows incredibly stronger. It seems that everyone's heart is melting. The banter was fun, but natural and beliveable..........can you tell I really loved it ???? Can't wait for more. Fantastic job and thanks>
PS Please tell Jolynn I wish her well, hope she is feeling better soon and I send her good thoughts. Debbie

Author's Response: Yay, I'm happy to see ou enjoyed the sweet with the naughty bits in the chapter - had to balance it out a bit. I can't wait till I have them finally together so everyone can see what kind of lasting realtionship they'll have, *winks*. I'll definitely let Jolynn know you're thinking about her hon, promise. Thanks so much for the lovely review, hugs you tight.

I love how they are starting to understand each other now, and Buffy accepted his reasoning for beating up Lindsey.

Author's Response: Thanks you sweety, glad to see you liked the chapter. Yes, she's definetely coming around, especially now that some time has passed and she's more willing to listen/spend time with Spike. Thanks again for the wonderful review darling, hugs.

Great, great chapter. I loved everything from dinner, flowers to dance. Have to say I am addicted to this story and it makes me sad the end is close. Somehow I hoped it would be longer, hell I love this two so much
and they just started being all nice and sweet in they uniqe way. Darling, dont end it just yet please, please, PLEASE. I would love to read more at least for another two or three weeks. Anyway thanks for sharing this story. Love and kisses from me.

Author's Response: That's so aweomse to hear, I'm very gald you liked this chapter with its softer moments as opposed to the harsher chapters. I'm going to be very sad myself to have to finish this story, it's been soooo much fun to write. I should have at least 2-3 more chappy's to go, so no worries about it going too fast, well, unless the muse goes on a huge writing spree, giggles. He gets on viagra sometimes. Thank you so very much for your lovely review, its made my day. Hugs you tight.

Awww... What a sweet chapter! I enjoyed the glimpse in Buffy's thought process... that girl sure asks herself lots of questions... lol! Gotta say I'm glad the date went so well. Loved the interaction between the two blondes during their date, they were both so playfully adorable. Can't wait to read more. Wonderful update! :D

I'm really sorry to hear about Jolynn's health problems. I hope she gets well soon!

Author's Response: LOL, yup, she's all with the questions, but understandbly so after all they've been through. Ah yes, the date was something they might not have got through if they'd walked on eggshells - so to have them use their banter differently has helped Spike's cause greatly - glad you enjoyed that bit. I do hope Jolynn's recovery is a speedy one as well. It's tough on her right now but her SO is taking good care of her. Thank you so much for the wonderful review sweetheart. Huggles.

LOL, I'd probably do the same if I had that kind of access.

Well, they've managed to see each other TWICE without fighting! It's a record! You know, the universe might implode, now.....

Author's Response: Giggles - hey, at least it wasn't illegal. LMAO, the world might indeed implode - but at least they're using what they know best - the banter - in order to move from hate to love. Thanks for the great review hon, hugs and kisses.

Awww....I will be heart-broken when this fic ends!! I absolutely adore it! Loved the explanation of chiggers~ If you've never been to the South, you just don't "get it." I loved their date, the way they "play" with each other. I loved how Spike is trying so hard not to cross over that line with her physically, although he clearly wants to, because he wants to prove his affections for her are real. And I love her reaction to being told why he was protecting her from Lindsey~ That sudden realization that you may feel like a "big person" who can take care of herself, but the reality of a man being able to hurt you and physically dominate can shock you to the core. And, also, the realization that Spike felt deeply protective of her way back in basic.

You are a brilliant writer, and I adore this plot. Can't wait for the next update. And, I am planning on sharing this fic with my hubby, because I think it has real universal appeal. Really, that is *huge* praise, since I share very few of these fics with him. Great, great stuff!

Author's Response: I'll be very sad too, to have to end it b/c I never imagined it would be this much fun to write. I'm absolutely thrilled that you've enjoyed everything so far darling. LOL, oh yeah, chiggers can be annoying as hell. Poor Spike and his hormones, he really is doing his best though b/c he knows what's more important in the long run. Buffy did appreciate his protectiveness from Lindsey because it truly would be frightening under those circumstances to be cornered and feel like you have no option. Wow, I'm truly blushing from your compliment sweety, I will always try my hardest to write to the best of my ability. It's a learning process I'm enjoying very much and glad I can entertain such wonderful readers as you - I always look forward to seeing your reviews. I can't believe you'll be sharing this with your hubby, that's like a big WOW with me, I do so hope he enjoys it too - men are such fickle creatures sometimes, hee hee. Thank you so very much from the bottom of my heart for your review, you are absolutely adorable and so good to me. Huge hug and a big fat kiss from me and my muse.

Just had to review straight away to tell you how much I enjoyed this chapter...good for you Spike you will ALWAYS catch more flies with honey than vinegar...and that pout...poor Buffy NO-ONE can resist that:)
Cant wait for the next update, Spike you have to let Buffy set the pace, and ya know I think he will....
KUDOS to you over the Drill Sarg line LMAO...
Hope to hear from you soon*hugs*:)

Author's Response: YAY - I love hearing that you enjoyed the sweet moments as they've toned down the banter to be fun as they grow closer. LMAO, your poor kids, I feel guilty now. Yup, Spike has finally realized what it takes to win her heart. I can't think of a girl out there who wouldn't melt on the spot for that pout - too delicious, *giggles*. Oh yes, he'll let her set the pace, he knows the best things in life are worth waiting for, *winks*. LOL, glad you liked that DS line, Buffy herself can be sooooo naughty. Squeee! :D
Evil place to end it. Now I have no idea if she's actually going to let him take her back to his place or if he's even going to suggest it or if they're just going to separate with a kiss by the end of the night.
Part of me's hoping for that sappy 'they go to their respective apartments and think of each other aaaall night' but the other (and bigger) part is screaming for naughtiness to ensue :D
No matter where you take it I feel confident that the next chapter will be as good as this one. I did thoroughly enjoy the read, and feel happy that the next update will be soon.
Oh, I hope it's nothing too serious (Jolynn) and that she's up and well again soon. I've thought many times that I wanted to read Beneath the Shadows of Evil, but I have a lot of reads that I'm following right now, so I haven't gotten to it.
Well, I am looking forward to your next update, but in a strange way not, since I don't want this fic to end. I like waiting for your next update and wondering what's going to happen. I don't know if other's have suggested it, but will there maybe be a sequel to this one? :)
Hugs and Kisses to you.

Author's Response: Sorry about the cliffie sweety - it shouldn't be too long before I post again and I do hope you enjoy where I take them, *winks*. As for Jolynn, its serious enough to have her out of work for awhile but not so serious that she won't make a full recovery and be well soon. Sometimes colds can turn into bad things and she just needs some rest and TLC from her SO. I think when your ready to read her fic, you'll thoroughly enjoy the story. She has a wonderful way of weaving a tale that draws you in. I am so happy you look forward to the chapters of IAN and have enjoyed it so much. The answer to your question is yes, there will be an epilogue, but of course that will e the last chapter I post before marking it complete. Thank you so much for the lovely review honey, it is truly appreciated. Smoochies to you from me and my (naughty) muse.

OMG! CHIGGERS! My Dad told me about chiggers! He got them while stationed in Korea in the early 1950s. Little suckers are like cockroaches - been around forever and will probably be around when mankind is no more! I gotta tell you, this tale is so exceptional all by itself, but you've also brought back memories for me of things my Dad used to say about the military! And that's just priceless! Thanks for those memories (I had forgotten so much, but this tale is helping me to remember so many stories my Dad used to tell us!).

Thanks also for the Jolynn news. You do realize that since I pretty think of you and Jolynn as my favs on the Spuffy Realm that I'll expect you to help me get through the next couple of weeks by being even more phenominal and writing your little heart out. Give muse a bribe or two.... chocolate....nylons.... what ever it takes now days! Love the tale and such a wonderful update - they are just so cute when they stop trying so hard to both be badasses! More please. Cyber smooches and hugs! (You'll notice I got in another sentence with you and jolynn ---oooo! and this line makes yet another!) Thanks for the entertainment hun!

Author's Response: Hee hee - I first found out about chiggers when I was just a civilian and I had a man/best friend for a roommate and he introduced me to his best friend (A marine) and we went to Camp Lejeune to visit him. Didn't get them while their but it wigged me out. OMG, you're dad was in Korea? That was my first duty assignement out of AIT. Spent 6 months at Camp Humphreys (groud ambulatory unit - lots of field time) and 4 months at Camp Casey working the ER. I could tell you stories that would have you pee'ing your pants and some that might have you puking. Good times. Glad I can bring back some wonderful memories for you sweety. LMAO - I will certainly do my best to get you through the time Jolynn won't be posting. Giggles, it really is nice to be mentioned alongside of her b/c let's face it, her style of writing is phenomenal and of course I'd love to be as good as her one day - plus she's a total sweetheart of a person. I'm so thrilled you enjoyed this chappy hon, hopefully just a few more days till I post again. Yup, we had to have a few moments of fluff, such as they were coming from our headstrong couple and I'm very happy you liked it.
