I just started reading this story and I am so amazed. Your writing is absolutely beautiful. I am loving every second. I have to say that the suit Spike wears is highly original. In all the fanfic I have read I don't remember every reading anything like it. I reallly love that, while it allows him to walk in the sun, it doesn't actually free him from the "curse" so to speak. Brilliant.

Author's Response: Thanks astrodex! When I first started thinking about this story, I originally had all sorts of other ideas about how to keep him incognito, everything from ridiculous costumes to invisibility charms to him just running and hiding every time she entered a room. But the suit was my fave, and I'm glad you like it too!

What an idiot, I even wrote Nancy twice and didn't make the connection until I read my own posted review. Her childhood was violent and isolated, is it any wonder she's such a psychotic nut job?

This story started off strong and has just kept building. The suspense and adventure are deftly handled, and richly detailed scenes paint a vivid picture. Each of the characters is lovingly captured, and their actions and reactions are justified and wonderfully drawn. The plot is fascinating and you keep adding unforeseen twists and turns.

Having a power mad Kennedy as the villain of the piece makes me happy, and I love the psychotically cheerful Nancy. The giant, polite demon has made me laugh several times, as has your spot on Andrew. Let's hope that Willow's mistaken about his not making it through this scrape. Giles and Buffy are sharp contrasts to these humorous moments. This sad, broken Giles is heart wrenching, and Buffy's confused melancholy about Spike has my heart hurting for her, too.

The beginning of this chapter, with Nancy and her hidden garden, was beautifully written, and I can't wait to learn what she has to do with the rest of the story. What a wild ride you've created here.

Author's Response: Thanks for the great review, Brunettepet! I'm so chuffed that your enjoying this - has been an absolute blast to write, so far. Towards the end of the show, I could totally sense that Kennedy was on the opposite path from characters like Spike and Andrew, and that power would quickly corrupt her if the stories had continued. I'm glad other fans feel that way, too. And I'm really happy that you think the Giles/Buffy arc is working. Next to her and Spike, I think that theirs was the most unresolved relationship in the series. Most of all, thanks for the kind words about my OC's! The regular characters are so strong - I've been struggling really hard to come up with a few new folks that could hold their own against them. -Jarod.

Well, every psychotic mastermind has some kind of traumatic childhood. Truly a smart little girl despite so much. I suppose you gotta give people like that a bit of credit. But Buffy may be sick, and Andrew and Spike are still missing, and I couldn't tell you what someone should do first in that situation. I hope Xander can figure it out. Great chapter.

Author's Response: Yeah, Nancy is kind of a twisted pretzel - sorta the ying to Kennedy's yang. Thanks for your review!!

Another great chapter. You wouldn't consider posting this to your LJ would you? Or at least posting that you've updated? It's so much easier to keep up with wips when they all pop up on your flist... Okay, I'm being lazy, I'll keep checking for updates.

Author's Response: Hey constance! Thanks for the compliment. I took your advice and am now posting to LJ as well. Cheers!
