Buffy offering Spike absolution was breath taking. These two are saving one another, one emotional reveal at a time. Their ability to share comfort and a feeling of homecoming is beautiful, and though I know there's more heart break to come, knowing where they are in the future gives the story just the right amount of hope to keep it from bogging down in the pain and hurt.

You've made me believe that last line.

Strangely enough, I like this story.
It's awesome the way you've managed to capture all of their emotions. You're an amazing writer.

Looking forward to another update ..

Author's Response: Does that mean I'm strange that I completely understand what you mean? Thanks, because I can't stress enough what that means to me. I promise I'll get to it as soon as I can. This one is very slow going. Hopefully this weekend, though I wouldn't hold my breath

I honestly had forgotten about this story but whenever I see you as the author I stop and read. This is such a powerful and painful story I can understand the gaps in between updates. Thank you for sharing this. I for one will always read, no matter how infrequent the update.

Author's Response: Thank you. I'm so very grateful for the wonderful support this story keeps getting. I truly do appreciate it.

My god this is beautiful. There just aren't words. It feels cheap to say that I can't wait for more, but it's the truth. I am willing to "wait for a long time" though...it's just that good!

Author's Response: Oh dear, I'm not really sure how to respond, except to say thank you so much. This is such a labor-intensive story -- mainly because the emotions are so very raw. Thank you so much for reading and reviewing. I hope the wait is always worth it.

Buffy is very insightful. Having gone throught this like Spike did makes her more sensitive for his pain. I guess if one hasn't been a victim it's hard to understand what the victim has gone through. Buffy knows. And she gave him a very big gift here: Hope.

Author's Response: She's given him hope all along, it's only now that the hope is more than just an emotion, more than just support -- it's something tangible. I'm soooo glad you keep reading, sweetie. Every single one of your reviews is much appreciated.

I've just read this from the beginning and you are doing a fabulous job with very difficult subject (to read, let alone write). The way that you have - I'm really struggling with how to express what I mean here. Taking William's locker room experience you didn't go into it in explicit detail making it gratuitous but you didn't just gloss over it either. It was expressed with sensitivity, allowing us to almost fill in the gaps if we needed to but it carried enough weight. Spike and Buffy are showing how resilient the human spirit is. It can be beaten and broken but it can mend and something beautiful can be created from all of this horror. Liam isn't going to win. Not sure that "looking foward to more" is really the right expression to use in this instance but hopefully you know what I mean and it doesn't leave me feeling down, they have hope.

Author's Response: Thank you. It's a hard story, I realize that, and it's going to dredge up some really unsettling things -- for a lot of people -- but I think it's a story that needs telling. I do know exactly what you mean, so no worries about not expressingly it clearly. And you're right, Liam is not going to win -- they've already proven that but just escaping. . . and finding each other. Thanks so much for your review, it made my day.

Excellent update. You really bring out the characters emotions.

Author's Response: Thanks! That's something I really wanted to touch on -- and not just the good emotions. I wanted to bring out everything, good, bad and very ugly.

Oh I love it, is it over or is there more.

Author's Response: No, it's not over. There's still a bit more story to tell, but it is, if I had to guesstimate, fairly close to being done. Thanks for reading and reviewing, I do appreciate it.

After what they both went through Buffy and Spike are lucky to have each other. Can't wait for more

Author's Response: They are lucky -- and they both know it. Thanks so much for reading and reviewing, I really appreciate it.
