Ahh, yep, I do love Dawn. Love your development of her, and I like the fact that at this point, she seems to be the most grown-up out of the three of them! (Though, of course, she can see the whole thing from a detached stand-point, and that does grant her a better ability to understand both sides).

And Spike is angry because of Buffy's lack of trust in him- well that explains a great deal, and also why he would think that the break up was Buffy's fault. Also, it's painful to hear that she never told Spike that she loved him! The poor guy!

And now, like Dawn, I'm going to have to prepare myself for the big blow-out argument. It's probably not going to be pretty, but it NEEDS to happen, and I'd wager that it's been brewing long enough now.

Author's Response: More Dawn love :) Very cool. These are the two most important people in her life, she has to figure something out fast! Yes, poor Spike. Buffy's not very good at showing how she feels. There's backstory there of course, but I'm not sure if it'll get written in or not at this point. That's one of the good and bad things about writing characters that someone else made. The good is that you can allude to character behavior and people already have an idea why they act that way, the bad is that I get lazy and don't write the backstory 'cause I want to get to the stuff that's happening now! i was very dissapointed with Spike on chapter 3. But after reading this latest chapter i think i can forgive him. Buffy as usual is very stubborn and too proud. I understand now that Spike is literally pushed to his limit for him to be disloyal to her. He really doesnt need to explain his actions to her after all.

Dawn is an angel. I sometimes think she and Spike are much more compatible.

I'd like to know who will be the one to give in in the next chapter!

Author's Response: Oh good! I was hoping people would forgive him a little. Yes, I see them both as stubborn in their own ways. If they were all rational and level headed and sat down and talked it out right away, I wouldn't have much of a story. Yes, and this is a more grown up Dawn, so she's less whiny, which is good. She really wants them to be ok. Certainly a Spike/Dawn relationship wouldn't suffer from lack of communication. They'd scream it all out and have it over with. But Spike loves Buffy :) Thanks for reviewing.

i like the spike/buffy/dawn closeness and that they've been in each other's lives for a good while. supportive of each other and what not.

i have to wonder how much he'd trust her if she was in a towel hugged up with her half naked ex. did he really expect that to go over well? I mean dude come on.

Author's Response: He's angry that she ran away and didn't let him even try to explain. If the reverse situation happened, can you see Spike not wanting to have words if not then, then sometime really soon after? In the show, he did leave after Buffy kissed Angel, but he confronted her pretty quickly afterwards! Dunno, I see Buffy as someone who closes herself off and Spike as someone who would want the confrontation to get everything out in the open. No, I don't think *anybody* would expect something like that to go over well! Thank you for reviewing!
