I'm late reading, busy with work that cuts reading time.
Closure for Buffy then...they know each other three years now; it's longer for Buffy that her mom died I guess. ~ Sad thought that Giles thinks Buffy and Spike should be together in their next life.
Oh and Giles was really there in person. Spike would have loved to see Buffy in real too.
Getting closure seems to have Buffy done good. The picnic was a real good idea, gave them some 'us' time.
