By the way, I don´t think Spike would have reason to throw his fellings away. The love he had was the one thing that led him out of the dark and evilness into the light, and was the main reason for becoming a champion. So even if he was hurting that he would never be loved, the knowledge that this love made him into someone he can be proud of and changed him positively in ways he never ever thought possible, this knowledge alone would be enough reason to not throw anything away. That is how love works. In making him get rid of it, you´re basically saying that he didn´t really love Buffy before, because love isn´t that selfish, and that makes it worse.

So after Buffy tells him she loves him, he doesn't want to see her anymore and then decides to give up his feelings of love "for her". So basically Spike can't love Buffy if Buffy loves him back. Not really much hope for a relationship here. I knew I wouldn't like Spike in this because of his lameass excuse for not returning to Buffy after she declared her love for him, but I didn't think I would dislike him this much. I wouldn't be able to forgive him. Don't know how you will fix this so Buffy can trust him again.

Well, I guess I'm the only one who feels for Spike in this. I feel for Buffy too of course. But my heart aches for Spike. Spike has been in love with her for years and years. Spike has always been about love. Which makes him lovable. But the problem is that Spike never truly believed that Buffy loved that way and really I don't blame him. So, when he hears that Buffy and the other slayers lives are in danger. He thought it was a good idea at that time to save Buffy and take away the one constant heart ache of loving Buffy and never having her. It was stupid but sometimes when you are in that state of my mind you don't make the best decisions. But I bet Spike regrets it pretty much the moment he did it. Cause like I said Spike is always about the love. Now that Buffy finally tells him he doesn't. Poor Spike. Being 100+ years old and never knowing the incredible feeling of loving someone so much and being loved that way in return. How bittersweet that must be for him.

well done fearie lord, he did what he set out to do...destroy the slayer and such a clever weapon: her lovers feelings. poor Buffy. i don't blame her in the least.

Really don't blame Buffy for how she left. Ouch....ouch ouch ouch......that's really gonna help her self-esteem. "Oh, hey, honey, you know I loved you more than anything, but i wouldn't come to you? And hey, you love me, too? Well, I couldn't handle it, so I traded the love away just so you could live still. Aren't you proud of me?" Right now, she's mad at Spike, but we know Buffy......she's gonna internalize this and make it something to be guilty about. Another thing that makes her unloveable. The last man she really trusted.......and now that's over. She's alone.
