Sorry I ranted on and on with the last review! 's what I/ya get with me reading and writing at 0-dark-thirty in the a.m...! Hey, per your response, and your linked to writing injuries, you get a linked action to your writing a great sex scene, as you put it, and you let me know the secret---so I can write one too hopefully with the same benefits! But I WILL definitely stay away from the leg injuries...I fell out the back door nekkid (was wrapped in my comforter and having a fight with my beau and fell down the steps, foot caught in said quilt, just as he drove off; I thought he was leaving--me, he was going to the store) on New Yrs Eve a number of years ago...tore my MCL (you didn't say which one---mine the one on the inside of the knee)--was stubborn, didn't go to the ER, not for two days--ended up in a hip to ankle heavily metal boned leg immobilizer---ie, velcroed "cast". Prob was the belly dance troupe was just startin' intensive work on a tough piece to dance in a big show in three or 4 mos time focusing on gypsy-ish dancing...and I was determined. So I went to class, waay painkillered up, but not too so to spin, wearing said leg splint...for months, up til the show. Yeah, and I bet you're saying idiot you, if you've been there!
So, you slipped ? and said you're setting poor Helen up for the fall....vamp? Or just irresistible draw of Buffy?
Oh, and lots & lotsa those med'l thangs were stuff that could/would be handled at home. Even once he goes home to London, his medical records could be faxxed over...or sent. One thing I didn't mention that I meant to, was that he should've gotten, Rupe's shelled out, or leased some low end home workout equipt.
And I didn't mean any of this for you to change anything, just FYI, to bring some things to light, you said you'd already written the whole story and weren't going to change things. I appreciate that. I see a lot of writers beg for reviews as if for candy. Sure a write *can* go back and tweak something, they might've missed something, or if writing in canon, have mixed up something in the timeline or who said what without reviewing script/video dialog,,,oft-times a quick reviewer is quicker than yet another proof-read or dragging out the DVD's! And there are some authors who dust their stuff off years later to polish it again, to amend it, go over it with a critical eye after learning more of their craft; to expound on it, to plump or round it out more....who's to say whether stuff in a review will be helpful one day down the road?
So, I just engaged typing fingers, which unfortunately, much like my mouth, once engaged, don't know how or when to shut up.
And on that note, know I'm well and truly hooked and will be here reading to the end.
Oh, and Spike all banged up...from luckily sort of killing, but at least fighting a vamp (snicker...named Doug....snicker)! For all it wore his ass out and tore him up, it had to still boost his confidence that he could still help (had to still be better than Xander), still put up a fight, had moves if not strength. But, it was disturbing to hear of his juxtaposed fear now of the night developing. Perhaps intelligent, but worrisome.
And speaking of intelligence---let us not forget his good English classical schooling and college, his 120 years to read and learn anything he wanted to, and his many linguistic talents, many human AND demon languages known, read and written! Sure old Rupes can find much for him to do. Of course if it's only to translate dry ancient texts in some library room filled with also relatively ancient geezers and bluehairs then Spike may rethink his question as to whether or not WRH had sent him to hell after all...
Write on, or rather transpose quickly, more, more, more and soon!

Please let it end. If I read one more lovey-dovey Helen-thought from Spike I´ll hurl. I hope she doesn´t come to England, because if this story EVER comes to be spuffy, it makes me really sad for her to have given up her hole life for Spike. Who actually is a double asshole in this. First for betraying his oh-so-great love for Buffy and a second time for betraying Helen, if he ends up with Buffy. I immensly dislike this Spike, I never saw the character as so disloyal, quite the opposite in fact.
Thank you though for posting the next chapter so quickly, I really need to get it over with, it doesn´t leave my mind before it has ended. Gah...

Author's Response: I apologise for traumatising you Angi, if you stick with it all will be revealed. Spike's not being mean he's just being vulnerable and human! Promise if you finish this one (It's go a sequel too, I know I'm pushing my lucj there LOL) I will write some glorious only B +S story to make up for it. I wrote this before I knew about this site. It just came in to my head and wouldn't go away!!

Is it evil of me to hope Helen never makes it to England , you said in an answer to one of your reviews that he's not in love wit Helen and that gave me hope ,but why ask her to uproot her life and go with him? that seems kind of selfish, He hasn't given much thought to Buffy throughout this fic , very little as a matter of fact, In my last review I told you I would give this fic the benefit of the thought and I will but these last two chapters have crushed any hopes of him returning to Buffy, and Giles thinks he's being crafty but I hope he loses Buffy for this betraya., Even if Spike does decide he still loves buffy and wants her back , it would be hard for me to forgive all these betrayals, even if he thought Buffy was lost to him. To answer a question you asked in a review : can;t he have some fun": this isn't fun Helen isn't a one night stand , this is a relationship he;s started and something you shouldn' do unless your feelings for anyone else are gone , I would rather Helen had been a one night stand , I could live with that, but this is just going to hurt her in the end , Maybe the good Doctor could convince her not to go to England ,because she;s going to get her heart crushed and as much as I like her I find that I don't care because Spike is Buffy's and she is Spike's.

Author's Response: As a better writer than me once wrote "the course of true love never does run smooth" or something like that anyway. Since this is on a Spuffy sight rest assured you'll soon be wallowing in Spuffyness. Poor Spike's scared to be alone think how he was with Harmony. That was never love but we don't always make the right choices in life!
