Tara is such a sweetie, I loved how caring she was towards Buffy. I also think Tara was right... that woman should've given Buffy the opportunity to explain herself, maybe she's biased because of Buffy's age. Taking a parenting class might be helpful, can't wait to find out what Giles has to say. Great chapter!

Hey, Ya GOTTA LOVE men that cook (FOOD, that is!)!!!!
I've got one, and am more than ample proof that he keeps me well fed and utilizes his cooking skills. He is, besides Chief Cook, also Cheif Bottle Washer...
If this Spike can cook, this Buffy needs to grab on and hang onto him for dear life (well, and for other obvious reasons as well!). Men that cook, and anywhere near willingly so are worth their weight in gold. I know I value mine highly.
I'm sorry to say I hadn't planned to read this fic, but only 'cos I wasn't in an AU/all-human mood, but slow fic updates and after having to wipe and re-format my laptop THREE times after recently getting viruses off of the oldie-but-goodie archive website Sinister Attraction
(AND losing ALL my links, files, favorites, even names/addresses of websites!) I was kinda limited to reading fics updated only on TSR, BSV & EF ('cos those I could easily remember the addy's to)... anyhoo, I wanted to read & relax, so I started to read your fic and I'm GLAD I have. So far am definitely enjoying it. It's sweet, and so far, a bit heartwarming at the holidays, which I think we all can always use! I'm loving this sweet, smiling Spike... and SO satisfied w/himself for phoning Buffy and getting Christmas together! And, of course he has an Oxford degree in English! What would a poet be without it?
I'll follow this one too, and go ahead and catch up to as much of your fic as is posted, looking fwd to updates.

Is there going to be Xander bashing?! Please! Oh please! let there be Xander bashing!!! It drives me crazy to think how no one ever called him on any of his many transgressions during the series so to have Buffy (or even Anya) put him in his place in this fic would make for a very Merry Spuffy Christmas!!! Still can't believe how you have actually made me like Dawn in this one. Great chapter - looking forward to more so update soon please.

Author's Response: LOL! I wish I could promise Xander bashing soon. There may be some coming up, but it'll be pretty playful. I always hated that he didn't get called on anything in the show too... No one else could get away with doing what he did. It will get pretty fluffy and happy soon I promise :)
