Spike's avid biting should have clued Buffy in, but actually watching a murder won't let her live in denial. Their relationship is brand new, but Spike's already a bit obsessed. If she says she never wants to see him again, I'll bet he'll just become better at keeping hidden as he stalks her.
I'm enjoying all the little details in this story: Joyce's drinking and Buffy being aware of prices. Her wanting to work out to get some definition and strength training was also entertaining. That "slayer" thing is still hovering, so training would be welcome for other vampires gunning for her.
Author's Response: Hmm, I think Buffy just sort of figured that the biting was some sort of vampire kink. But yeah, there's no way she can stay in denial or ignorance after seeing what she saw. Uh-huh... Spike is no pet vampire, that's for sure. Buffy saw more of him than she wanted too. I wonder what they'll make of it now. Spike has to changes his rules if he wants to have Buffy in his life. It doesn't look to me as if he'll get both. ~ Looking forward to what will happen now.

Spike should of thought ahead of time of how Buffy would react to seeing him feed. After all Buffy freaked at finding out he was a vampire. Can't wait to read more!

I was wondering when it was going to hit Buffy that Spike is indeed a vampire. He's not like an Angel type, he is a bloodsucking fiend, and I liked this chapter. It was nice and sweet. That is until the end.
The question is, will Spike change his eating habits for her? I kind of hope not, but thats just my personal opinion.
Author's Response: Nice and sweet until the end, LOL. Yeah, Buffy has sort of been playing denial when it comes to the vampire part of the vampire thing. Spike might change for Buffy, but it is a loooooong way away, with many things in between. Thanks for writing!

Seems like Buffy's really not wanted to even think about the bad side of Spike being a vampire. I think it's a lot more effective for her to actually see it than to have it come up in conversation, so I'm glad you took that route. Spike hasn't hidden anything about being a vamp, but he has occasionally soft-pedaled things a bit (like not telling Buffy he brutally murdered the guy having her kidnapped). I think it's really important for her to realize exactly what she's dealing with before making any decisions.
Great job, and looking forward to more!

Yeah, Buffy has been not questioning anything too much about being a vampire, even with what she's already heard. She'd rather not bring it up than realize something bad. But we knew the "issue" had to come up sometime. Glad you liked the way I pulled it off!

OK Spike is still killing - huge obstacle. So he's gonna have to get his blood in bags from now on - he can do it because he did when he was living at Buffy's - and it had better not be human! That is if Buffy will have anything more to do with him but the chances of her not seeing him are slim and I still have the feeling she'll be needing his help to survive. Spike's warm hand was a really nice touch and his list of rules made me smile. I loved every word - again.

I loved the eventual relization that there are some HUGE obstacles! I also loved the fact that spike hasnt fallen in love straightaway like in many fics.... cant wait for the next chapter!
