Buffy's snooping brought a lot of entertaining detail to Spike's bachelor habits. I especially enjoyed his snack food choices.
Buffy's got a right to be all confused and prickly. Spike's nonchalant law breaking and general disinterest in doing the right thing is unnerving, and totally in character. I love that he went to get breakfast and wants to make his place more Buffy friendly with food and drinks.
Buffy immediately jumping on the defensive with Joyce made me laugh. She's certainly on edge.

Even the discussion 'blood from the hospital' went well (because Buffy stopped arguing). Sounds as if that won't play an important part again.

Have just read the last two chapters - been away, back now - and they made for very emotional reading. Both Spike and Buffy are going to have to compromise but then don't all relationships involve that? Blimey mine sure did but then having thought about it I think I compromised far more - that's another story!!! At least Buffy seems to accept (and like) what Spike feels for her and we're back to compromise again. Absolutely love this so much.
Author's Response: Yes, Buffy and Spike have some things to figure out. And the compromise won't all be one Spike's end, either. (No pig's blood for this Spike! :) And there will be some Buffy thoughts and reflections next chapter to what Spike said. Glad you liked, and thanks for reviewing!

And him answering a question with a question... not wanting to say too much in case it would drive her away...which in the end seemed to ... and the wanting to hold her.. loved it..
