Holy Crap!!! Okay. So I found your story just a couple days ago and have been reading it voraciously ever since. I feel horrible that this is the first review I've left for you but I was so into the story that I just kept flipping the pages without reviewing. Every single chapter was absolutely fantastic! I love how you took these wonderful characters and molded them to tell your own very unique story. The emotions are so strong and poignant. Your writing is some of the best. I'm so excited for more.

Giving in to one another first felt desperate and loaded with an unmet longing, no matter how erotic. Buffy pulling back, knowing she was giving Spike the wrong idea, knowing she could never really be with him was heart hurting, but that last chapter gave me the hope she was missing. Spike had made a decision, and the decision was her. Nothing was going to come between them, even if he had to suppress his demon's demands.

Buffy's reaction was pitch perfect. Of course she'd be over whelmend. She knew Spike would never choose her. But then he proved her gloriously wrong.

Author's Response: Thank you so much! Yes, Buffy and Spike both wanted each other, but both had different ideas. Buffy very much felt like she was having a 'one more time,' and she knew that going in. She doesn't know how seriously Spike has been thinking about things, because even with all the things he'd said, he had never said anything that indicated he was ready to stop killing. Which of course was the major obstacle to her letting herself really be with him. Once she realizes what he's really saying, she truly is overwhelmed. Thanks for reviewing!

YAY, HES GIVING UP KILLING FOR HER AND NOW THEY CAN BE TOGETHER, FINALLY!!! i LOVE this story and am so happy that u updated. im so glad that he decided she was worth giving up killing and i understand his point but im just glad that they can finally be together. i really hope that things stay good and that everything works out between them. Best chapter yet....which worries me about the next chapter. Usually the authors do this little thing where they have something good happen and then take it away. But hey, the angst makes this a hell of a story. My favorite parts are when Buffy is near death and Spike is panicked that he'll lose her---lets us see the gentle and tenderness of their coupling. Update soon. Very soon. :)

I've pulled B/S back and forth enough. Their internal conflict and the conflict between each other is over (well, except for one little thing at the very end), and now conflict will be external. So, no taking away! Buffy and Spike's relationship is here to stay. Thanks for reviewing!

Loved it but I know the road isn't that simple. Can't wait for more, this is in my top 5 favorite Spuffy stories.
