What a heart wrenching, dramatic chapter. Spike reliving his last carefree time with a warm, living Buffy even as he's turning her had me feeling great sympathy for the choice they've both made.

Wow. Oh wow. Please let her still love him! Please?! Pretty please?! It's all so sweet and dark and sad. Please?

Oh WOW. That was so intense. I didn't expect this fic to contain a scene like this, but I'm loving the way this is going. Can't wait for more! Really, REALLY loved the way you wrote that.

Beautifully done, in a most heart wrenching way. I had tears in my eyes at the end there. I love how you captured the pain of both of them. The longing to be together and the fear of the cost, especially for Spike.

Woah! I'm really surprised that he actually turned her! It's hard to say how I feel about it at the moment (other than saddened and touched by your poignant description, of course), 'cause I think I'm still a bit in shock.

Still, this is why I avidly read and am never disappointed by your stories. You never shy away from taking your characters where they need to go, even if it's uncomfortable or even painful along the way. Because you're so true to yourself, and them, your stories are always so deeply satisfying and complex.

I have no idea what's next for Buffy and Spike. I kinda like that. :-)

I also feel drained. Oh my god, he did it! I didn't expect to go this way. All I can think is, "Now what?" This could be really big mistake...but you certainly painted them neatly into a corner. It didn't seem like there was any choice. Masterfully done, Addie, as usual.

I am very sad for Spike. Once again he acts out of love. But he is forced into it.

He wants to keep her, but he also knows that if he doesn't do it, she will be lost. Lost to him, but also lost to herself. She has let herself fall for him, and she would do anything to keep him.

I think that Buffy acted in a selfish way. She didn't think of what Spike would feel. He had told her before that he didn't want her to be like him, that he liked her like she was.

It was asked on the impulse of the moment surely, but she did'nt think it through. What if she regrets it when she awakes as a vamp !
In the Jossverse not every vamp seemed happy to have
been turned (I remember Harmony saying that being a
vampire sucked).

Will she have enough love left in her to still love him or will she be cold and without any feelings left ?
I really am waiting for the answer.

She is not the Slayer, so she has no duty to think of. That's what probably made it easier to choose to be like him over trying to force him not killing humains.She didn't even thought of asking him not to kill. He probably could have tried... a little bit.

It is, for me, very different than to accept that your lover were a killer, it is about choosing to become a killer too. But why ? To not leave him and be without hope of finding something so deep again ? To not feel the guilt of her lover killing people ? Or because it's easier this way (well I mean that She thinks that maybe it will be easier this way), not to have to question your actions, no guilt.

But also I can understand her, because there is passion
between them. And you should always surrender when you find it, even if it never ends well.
