Very touching. I was crying when they said goodbye, it was so bittersweet and heartwrenching. And I was right about that Buffy would be blessed with a child... Good that Harmony might be alive and sweet of Buffy to give Faith the amber.

Author's Response: I cried when I wrote it as well...more soon

*wipes tears from eyes* Buffy and William's parting was so beautifully bittersweet. *reaches for a kleenex* I'm happy about the child their love created though. *sniff* Can't wait to see where you take things from here. Great chapter!

Well, really something about spilling Tara's blood. Kind of funny but well, it's like frat boy humour. Great that Harmony might be ok. Really sad about Buffy and William. I can't wait to see how William will be received back home.

Author's Response: William has to go...and the reception is on its way. more soon

Maybe I'm just tired from a long day, maybe it's PMS or maybe it's just that the writing is SO DAMN GOOD but I was crying at the end of the chapter, I absolutely love love love this story. The amount of detail and care that you have put into your characters is fabulous. I'm pissed that he had to leave but understand why.

Can't wait for the next update.

Author's Response: next update soon I promise. If you put the story into favs SR will tell you when the update goes up. glad you liked the chapter...I was crying when i wrote it, I wanted it to really tug on the heartstrings....more soon

SO glad to see a new update from you, even if it's bittersweet.
Nyah-nyah-na-nyah-na! Yep, I was right after all. But something tells me that child's father will find his way back to his new family come hell or high water.
I sort of expected William to offer his cut (of the fine for his eye scarring that Connor offered him/asked him if he wanted?) to go towards Tara's dowery or ransom/so she wouldn't be sold (as IF). Glad, at any rate, that she'll be taken care of, and frankly, am surprised that Connor hadn't "taken care of" her already!
I realized it as soon as I saw it that I knew that about the Amber---I have enough of the stuff to deck out in it (now if I just had some good Whitby Jet to go w/it!) but had forgotten it. I knew it had properties attributed to it.
I half expect William to get back to Wessex to find that his mother is dead, if not his fool brothers too (he can't be THAT fortunate, can he?)...surely there is some campaign they can go fight & get killed in? LOL.
About the weight of the brooches---I didn't realize they were as heavy as that. Modern repos that I've seen have rarely been as large as perhaps should be, and certainly not that heavy (and certainly rarely silver either, sometimes rarely even pewter), Was that a standard size/wt?
Please, keep those fingers tapping the keys, sweetie--I'm hooked.

Author's Response: my tortoise broaches are solid silver adn that weight. I carry a fortune about my body and neck:) they are lovely though, a birthing gift after my son was born, glad you enjoyed. more soon

Awe, William bless his heart, he spoke for Tara to see her well cared for (even if Connor would have done it anyway).
*sniff* So bittersweet, now they had to part. Buffy will have more than only a memory to keep where William will only have his memories.
So his old clothes didn't fit him any more? He has changed; looking forward to what his family will say to the new him.
And looking forward to seeing him come back. But I guess that will take time, huh? TNX for the quick update.

Author's Response: thanks for the review, glad you liked it. more soon

Wow, I left a review just today for the previous chapter and whined about getting another one and POOF.... my wish was granted - giggles. No worries, I won't continue to whine, lol. Connor is Mr. Slicky boy, figuring a way around everything to make it legitmate. Good for him and for W/T as well. Erik's jabs towards him and about saxon women al over the norsemen were hysterical.

It was so very sad to see William leave, but I expected this all along ,as well as Buffy being pregnant and keeping the knowledge from him. Now I can't wait to see how you'll weave the web to bring them back together. It's fantastic angst, I'm enjoying it. And I'll flog anyone that flames you - ok? Bravo my dear, and now the plot thickens.

Author's Response: there was a letter of complaint written by a Saxon priest to the bishop stating that the Viking were coming into town, with silver in their pockets, their bodies washed, their hair combed, their beards trimmed and they were stealing away the fair flower of womanhood. glad you enjoyed. more soon and thanks for the review

Talk about heartwrenching angst, so wonderfully written too. I felt the hughest lump in my throat while reading imagining how would that good bye would play out, and when I got there I couldn't stop the tears. It was so sad, and still, knowing there's a baby coming filled me with hope. Truly, darling, you outdid yourself. Bravo!

Author's Response: yes, yes yes..that was the reaction I wanted:) obviously we're not finished yet.. more soon
