That was a really sweet chapter except for the ruthless blood and guts murder parts of course.

Loved the horse called Finn!

Can't imagine Spike not managing to perform his husbandly duties on his wedding night though ... but then again he is a lot more of a William in this story so I guess it fits with the character.

This new glimpse into William's life was great, I liked that Buffy's influence is always with him... nice choice of name for the horse by the way. :D William certainly is taking pride in his new sword... since it's from the spoils of this battle, I can't help but wonder if it's going to play into the story later on down the road. And I loved Athelflaed's idea to send William to Ingimund, this new position is all kinds of exciting. I look forward to finding out what new adventures await for him there. ;) Fantastic chapter!

William seems to be doing very well for himself. Nice to see him thrive out from his brothers' shadows.

I have a hunch that news of Buffy's delicate condition would've made its way to Ingimund over the course of the winter, since the wedding gathered guests from far corners of the land. Won't that be a shocking bit of news for William to learn when he arrives in the Spring?

…a dapple-grey stallion who answered to the unlikely name of Finn... I had to laugh out loud at this. I believe it’s the highest elevation any writer has ever given Riley, ROFL. Personally – I would have made him a gelding – inserts evil laugh here. YAY – glad to hear William has indeed come into his own as a warrior and a man, putting down the ‘dogs’ as it were and being able to ward off any potential wives. Me-thinks the queen’s idea will eventually bring William round to Buffy again – at least I hope so. I adored the chapter sweety, bravo on a job well done.

Ooh, wonderful chapter! I'm so happy the King of Mercia and his wife are so taken with William, and that they not only were so understanding of his reasons not to marry but they also put a stop to the marriage offers. William truly has changed so very much and now he's well on his way of becoming worthy of his Buffy. :D Loved the part with Anne and how she's so happy in Court, but still notices William's suffering over not being with Buffy. I'm loving this story more with each chapter, can't wait for more!

Good to read the update today and to see that William and his mother are happy where they are now (as happy as William can be in his case).
Heh heh, William even tamed the stallion.
William in on his way now, gaining a name. And you'll sure know that I'm not mad that William managed to stay unmarried too :)
