The two weddings were as markedly different as these two societies. The first was almost a business transaction, the second felt more like an exchange of heart felt vows. They were each vividly written, and I love the zeal and humor of these Norse. The women having to be stopped for their weapons was hysterical, as was Connor's broad and bawdy translation of the latin texts.

Author's Response: that was exactly what i was trying to show..and Connor's bit was so much fun to write...when i went into church in viking kit i have my weapons removed..that bit was taken from near life:)

Author's Response: oh no Ushers were there to either remove weapons or ensure that they were peace knotted.. the poor men had such trouble at my wedding trying to remove the groom's sword. it went in with a peace knot on it eventually:)

So descriptive as always, great to read. Loved the bit where the girls have to hand over all their knives!

Do the green and yellow colours of Buffy's outfit signify anything special? I'm sure I've read somewhere that white weddings are modern (Victorian?) idea.

And do I detect a hint of a side story about Olaf and Anne?

I must say, I prefer the second ceremony, but then, I think I would have made a better Norse wife than Saxon - too much Scots in me! LOL

I loved that William and Elizabeth had two marriage ceremonies, both were a joy to read. :D I especially enjoyed the little glimpses into the bride and groom's heads. I also liked the Olaf/Anne interaction. Fantastic chapter!

because if he had any food in his stomach it would be making a speedy and unwelcome return. LMFAO - pre-wedding jitters AREN'T just reserved for brides. And I loved that Buffy was just sitting there as casual as you please while feeling her husband up, hee hee. The wedding - both of them were lovely, and dare I say they're going to have one helleva long night ahead of them, giggles. LOo and behold... dost my eyes decieve me??? Do I detect that Olaf fancies Anne? I kept seeing it through the earlier chapters but methinkksI'm right - woo hoo. Is there another wedding in the future? Loved it all so much my friend. A truly magnificent chapter. Now - onto the sex, squeeeeeeeeeeee, or at least I hope you might consider writing our newlyweds first night together as they perform their AHEM, duties, giggles.
