Other than waking up alone, this was the perfect morning after. Buffy and William united as a family, working toward a common goal. Buffy is an astute business woman and William is no slouch. They both know what needs to be done to get his hall running profitably. Anne will enjoy being with this family after the horror of the other.

William cuddling Nordlys as she gnawed at that horse painted a charming picture. He's taken to fatherhood like a duck to water.

Sad that we're nearing the end of this tale, but certainly hope and trust you'll see it finished properly.

He has some making up to do, though, letting her wake up on her own. Lucky her - the making up, I mean. :)

It seems that William is aware of her status among her people, but needs to be reminded that she sees herself as equal among his, too. This will raise eyebrows, I'm sure, when she expresses herself in the male-only political and business arenas. But she's just the woman to do it and do it well. They will prove to be a formidable force, the two of them, and the best place for them now is on the border.

Awwwwwwwww, this was such a sweet chapter - the happy family. These two are just so perfect or each other and neither take their love for granted. The scene with his daughter was just adorable and Buffy wanting more kids... yeah, I can see that. I'm sad the story is coming to a close, but it's been such a wonderful ride.
