Again, Spike is a womanizer. You writers sure do love Spike being a womanizer. I would love to see a story where Buffy is a manizer. Believe me there are lots out there. Lots of women using men and what they can get from them.

Anyways, I will continue with this story since I see that you have mild angst. But if Spike is made to be just another dick, ass, jerk, or anything else like that. I will not continue.

I like how you have Spike smart and young. William seems like he would be really smart.

You also seem to love writing lots of sex in your Spuffy stories. Why? Have you ever consider writing a Spuffy story where it isn't all about sex at first. Just wondering. Not a meant to be a put down or anything. I would love to read a story from you where it isn't all about sex with them in the beginning.

Author's Response: Yes, while it’s true that a lot of authors, as well as readers, like Spike as a womanizer, it doesn’t account for everyone. I enjoy reading him as such because I like to see how he redeems himself and eventually finds love as well as the challenge of writing him as a jerk and his redemption – simply a preference of mine. I can tell you there are definitely stories here at TSR where Buffy is the man-eater (though it’s been awhile since I’ve read one) and that’s great, too. Like you said, they’re out there. I think, (personal opinion here), Buffy in BTVS was rather conservative with her sexuality up to Season Six and it’s easier for me to see things from that perspective. Although I write AU fics, I try to keep a certain level of canon in their personalities and a man-eater Buffy would, to me, be a Faith

While I’m glad you enjoy ML’s Spike as young and smart, I can tell you up front this story is definitely not for you. He gets worse, much worse, (he’s a complete ass in this fic, concentrates on sex though I can say he won’t see any from Buffy for quite some time) before he gets better and as I’ve said in my first a/n, this story is meant to get people riled up. If I can’t move people to feel passionately one way or another, I may as well give up as a writer.

As for me, personally, writing a story that doesn’t involve sex up front, it’s possible, but you’re also talking to a woman who has to live without her husband under the same roof for about 3 years and running now b/c he’s gallivanting the globe with the military. I’ve sex on the brain, needless to say, and I write nothing below nc17 as a preference. In the future I may decide on a plot that isn’t centered on sex from the start, but as to when I can’t predict. The muse has to have a proper plot bunny for that and I find I can only concentrate on one or two fics at a time. Though I hate to lose you as a reader, this story will definitely turn you - and possibly many others - away. It’s a risk all authors run no matter what kind of plot they choose to write.

I do want to thank you very much for the review and tell you that I respect your views as an individual. Hopefully in the future I’ll gain you back as a reader with a different story. Take care, sweety.
