Oh my god!!!! Just got through with the 3rd chapter and I'm dying for your next updates. Yes, Buffy was a hero but so were many others on the show I don't hold her as any more special than the rest of the scoobies. Who also put their life on the line to help save the world. They were all heroes and they ALL made huge mistakes.

Of course Spike wasn't even close to being a saint. He was a vampire for goodness sake. But what he was able to do. Turn away from what he is and what vampires do. Really makes Spike special.

My story has William and Buffy as a couple. Buffy being abusive to William/Spike.

So, one can say that I am kind of keeping the characters in canon. Well, at least Buffy. Buffy abusing Spike where you see in season 6.

So, would you want to read once I am finished with it. I will understand if you didn't want to read it. I mean if it bothers you or if you don't want to read it. It is a hard story to read and heartbreaking.

Author's Response: I don't have a problem with people's views, not even if they clash with my own. Being able to see things from every perspective and angle outside of one's shoes helps me to round out and balance my thinking. It doesn't matter whether I still stick to one opinion or another, what's important is that I appreciate and respect all others - a personal philosophy of mine. I wouldn't try and dissuade or persuade anyone to my line of thinking other than to put it out there for consideration and what they do with it is out of my control. If you do choose to continue with ML, you can also wait until a few more chapters have been posted. That's always helped me sometimes when a story is difficult for me to continue for awhile. Though it's still more likely than not, not going to be what you're looking for, I can only hope you overlook what you don't care for about it and find some measure of enjoyment in it for other aspects. I am writing a story where Buffy needs to be redeem. It is almost finish. But I probably won't post it. At least not anytime soon. But it isn't the same when you are the author. I have tried so hard to see if an author wants to write a story like this or to find stories like this . I haven't had much luck. Which is why I believe what I believe. Men= Ass Women= Saint

I didn't say that stories that Spike is an ass gets more reviews. I said that I have noticed that stories that do have Spike as an ass tends to get tons of reviews. There are certain authors and certain type of stories that usually gets many many reviews. Like you said Addie is one of them and HollyDB. Which is great for them. I just feel for those authors who don't even get nearly half of those reviews.

I agree with you that on the internet people have a right to express their opinion. Believe me. I am all for having the right to express your opinion. Good or Bad. But I also believe that if certain people have a problem with me or with my review. Which I still see nothing wrong with it. Then people shouldn't reply to my post. It really only makes me want to reply back and so on. So, to each their own I guess. Really if the author doesn't have a problem with it. First of all. I am not an Angel/ Buffy fan. So, why will I want to read those stories.

Second of all. I never said that Spike wasn't an ass or was a saint on the show. I am tired of people putting words in my mouth. If you want to reply to me. Please, don't put quotes in my mouth. I said that Spike really wasn't a womanizer. There is a difference.

And I agree with you. That part of makes Spuffy, Spuffy is all of the snark and sexual tension. That doesn't mean you have to prefer stories that are all about sex. Or where there is graphic sex scenes all throughout the story or a lot of sexual innuendos . My preference is that there are sex scenes but it doesn't need to be a whole lot. Not to say that I don't enjoy stories that have a lot of sex in it. It is just not my preference.

Author's Response: Sorry the stories I listed didn't work out, those were the only 2 I could think of that might have come close to what you were looking for. And I think cordykitten was just fab to put the links out there for where you can go to post a challenge. If you do, I'm sure somebody will pick up on it, most challenges get picked up and pretty fast too. That's great to hear you've been writing and are almost finished. Please don't shy away form posting though, it can be really scary to do at first, hell, I always have a huge case of the bundled nerves whenever I put something new out there, but it's a risk worth taking b/c I know some will enjoy it. So I encourage you to do so when you're finished and beta'd and all that. I enjoy the classics, I admit, but I wouldn't be opposed to reading your version of Buffy at all - it sounds interesting. It's hard, especially as an author, to come up with something original and you have an origianl idea that I think people would jump on. Um may I ask what show you were watching Oooooo.? LMAO. Stories where Spike is acting like an ass is a lot more true to character than one's where he's a perfect saint. It's not Spuffy if they're not snarking at each other and have loads of sexual tension. Try Buffy/Angel if you prefer to read about protagonists that are damp as a wet towel together.

Author's Response: Okay - I was snorting here I was laughing so damn hard... 'damp as a wet towel together'. But you have a point, I mean seriously, that was their relationship. At first I adored B/A, but after he left and the freshness of SPike came aboard, I was glad the sappy crap ended. I don't mind fluff, but it was getting a bit sticky sweet then bitter sweet with Angel. I think Spike did more for Buffy, went above and beyond to prove himself worthy, kept his bad ass persona to a degree and all without a soul too. Angel's excuse is he had a soul - and without it, well, you get the point. I promise to keep plugging along here with my plans, you can count on that. I don't mind me some William every now and then, but there's something about a bad boy that's irresistable - no way am I cutting his balls off, nuh-uh. And you're absolutely correct, I had to create his character as such to get the fic moving within the plot, otherwise its boy meets girl, boy falls for girl, boy and girl wind up in bed then marry and have 2.5 kids in the suburbs.... b-o-r-i-n-g, been there done that, that's WHY I write what I write. And YAY, glad you're enjoying ML with all it's 'oh no he didn'ts' and that's illegal, cuz hey, its all in the name of comedy, I don't do drama, it drags me down in the emotional dept. THere's some similarities to ITAN for sure - both s/b have strong personalities which actually makes it work rather well. 2 passionate people come together, clash and walaa.... spuffy in the end with some fun fireworks in the process. As for the sex, when I get to it, I don't think I could stop my muse from writing it if I tried - he's a very naughty boy and likes his details, every nook cranny and juicy crevice.... ooops, did I say that?
