Reading your newest chapter was a wonderful way to start-off my weekend. Your Spike started off the chapter really open to being a couple with the very-oblivious Buffy. The “footsy under the rubble” comment was another brilliant revisit of canon in a different context. You’re really allowing us to see how this brash Spike is, underneath it all, a vulnerable William.

…and the surprise?! “Blood Ties” helped to fill a small bit of the void missing with the end of the Buffy-verse and completely a squee-worthy gift to get from a not!boyfriend! Spike. Those might be really entertaining scenes to watch together.

Honestly, it was the dancing and what happened after that made another awesome chapter. Not that I’m one to condone the need for alcohol to further a relationship, but…a slightly drunk!Buffy unbent enough to let Spike in…I love how you’re keeping him very much the gentleman. They are on their way to bliss. Can’t wait for the “morning after” to see what Buffy remembers and the next part of their weekend.

Minor observation: “He hated doubting himself, but this time he new he was right to.” Other ‘knew.’

GIggles - I think you're really going to enjoy the weekend I have planed for these two. And YAY... Wow... you've done it again! What a great chapter. *sighs contentedly* Had to LOL at Spike holding his arms out while Buffy attacked his cheeks with her lips :D

Is Spike aware of the lengths he's going through for a woman he barely knows what to do with after he sleeps with her? He's getting so emotionally invested and he's just starting to be aware of it, but he still doesn't know what to do after that! *LOL* Or maybe he does, but is merely weirded out by the thought of a relationship. Hmm...

Can't wait for the next one, if it means spuffyness! You're the best! :)

He's not realy aware of th bigger picture in all that he's doing for Buffy - that revelation will come a bit later, *winks*. Hee, I so love this chapter! I especially enjoy the subtle and not so subtle changes Spike's experiencing. He's maturing before our very eyes, he truly cares for Buffy, too. It's obvious in every little thing, in every little gesture, in the way he's respecting her even when she presses for more. *happy sigh* And now I can't wait for the promised weekend of Spuffy goodness, I know it will be awesome!
