Nice to see this updated! Hope things slow down for you.

I've been one of those irritating readers who doesn't review, but I'll try to correct that now! I really like this story. It's not pleasant; it's dark, and gritty, and there's an (almost?) insurmountable age difference. But it's great to have some darkness in with all the fluff. I've got to go back and reread to recall the plot details, but there's nothing wrong with having plot, either! I think some people don't have the patience for plot, especially if there's a while between updates.

I like this story a lot. Maybe the reason you're not getting much feedback is the wait time in between updates. It makes the story feel like it's moving really slowly, even though it's not. Maybe waiting and putting up a couple of chapters in a row would help?

Your story telling is fantastic!! All I can assume is that lack of reviews is down to the dark nature of the story, although for me personally it's right up my alley!! And with just the right amount of mystery and suspense to go along with it too!!

I love this story! There's a lot of things unsolved and I would love to read it till the end!

Sorry your work isn't getting the love. It's not 'bad' - don't be scared of that - but it is unpleasant subject matter and makes grim reading in places. I just read the first 7 chapters in a lump and it seemed to have a long way to go. so much plot! I will be reading this as it / if it updates and there are precious few AU stories I do that for. Of course there is the whole Buffy = 15 thing that will squick a lot of people. It squicks me really even though all he has done so far is bath the girl.

It really Does NOT suck!
You know, I don't think you should worry too much, cuz a lot of people just like fluff stories.....but that doesn't mean for a second that this story sucks. People just have short attention spans these days......

I love the mystery and danger of this fic.

Since you ask...I'm actually quite intrigued by this story but it isn't a "likeable" story in the sense that it deals with some pretty awful issues. I personally don't care much for stories where Buffy is a streetwalker because it is both unpleasant and doesn't fit in with the TV Buffy's character. That said, as I mentioned before, this is intriguing both character-wise and plot-wise. I'd like to see where you take the story. Just because the story isn't "likable" doesn't mean that it isn't an interesting and worthwhile story. I'd like to see you continue!

I love that both Spike and Buffy are developing feelings but are doubting them.

And btw, this story does NOT suck. I'm experiencing a similar lack of feedback. I wanted to ask the same question you did! It would be nice to know if something sucks - most people who do bother to leave feedback almost always have positive things to say.

I think many readers want to get to the sex/story climax/whatever right away. There's not a lot of paitence anymore for a slow burn.

I think the leak came through someone other than Nikki or Gunn, at least if it was maliciously done. Isuppose either of them could have let somethingslip on acident.
