So glad to see another update from you, & was a great chapter. Can't wait for more!
It's gotta be Faith that's the mole, huh? 'Cos, ya just gotta love Sam Lawson, no matter what fic he pops up in! Glad to see he was included too.
Speaking as a Native Floridian (sleeping here in a T-shirt, under a big fan, w/only 1 throw blankie tonight, & no heat on...) WHERE the heck do Spike & Buffy think they can go, or get to, with snow storms (?) coming on, in winter weather like that??? And on foot???!!! And having to leave anything they had behind, I gather... poor things!
Anyway, still with ya, still enjoying it, and keeping my fingers crossed for more updates soon.

As always, wonderful! Always so glad to see updates from you! And whatcha mean? You've been updating things pretty regularly, so don't worry about it. (I'm still buzzing from reading "Origins"-verse pretty much in one marathon sitting recently. So more 'Niamh-fic' is a good thing! Don't rush and stress yourself out--- it's YOUR story (stories)--- tell it/them the way you want to, when you want to! And chill a bit... listen to some music... (mebbe some new plot-bunnies will nibble on your toes while relaxing, tho', so be warned!)... even read some good fic...
And, definitely, if it ain't Faith, then it's gotta be Giles, or both!

So it seems no action was taken yet for Alanna seeing them. But it didn't take long to prove me wrong. So someone (or if you count Faith two) are on their way to find him.
Maybe Spike will be a bit calmer till then. Sadly he is right that they are still in danger. Especially after me reading: Eliminate on sight once contact is made. Uh-huh.... cliffhanger again.

So very, very glad to see an update! Hope you're feeling better!
When I took Medieval Lit in college, my prof had lived in NYC and frequented The Cloisters. He brought in a small (3 frX 2fr?) medival/early renn original tapestry dating from about the late 15th cent, can't remember the subject exactly, but the style was reminiscent (to me, anyway) of "The Unicorn Tapestry", that he'd bought from The Cloisters. It was gorgeous. I had the chance to go to school up there & foolishly turned it down (thinking I'd die in the cold or from mugging in NY, being a deep Southerner); but kinda wish I had gone, with places to visit like The Cloisters.
Take care, and hope for more from you soon! (You must have a love for historic/period times, places & things--- I just read your "Roses in December" and found it absolutely amazing. Would love to see more of it, or move in that vein! You've quite a talent that way! I've bookmarked 'RID' as one of my personal alltime favorites, and hope you don't mind if I rec it???)

Poor Spike. At the moment he doesn't know what Buffy wants and because she is so young he thinks it won't function. No wonder he must be heartbroken after he noticed he's already in love with her.
But Buffy isn't unaffected by him either; he just doesn't know it.
Sounds as if the ball is rolling now. Looking eagerly forward to more!
(The only thing I've spotted was the closing tag for italics at the end of the chapter. And because it was the last sentence it didn't do any harm.

Buffy is clever, figuring out whom Spike blames.
Emotional chapter. Enjoyed the read.

Haven't forgotten this. And it's not crap.
A lot of people don't read all-human stories, so that alone could count for the lesser reads than Origins.
My personal preference is not to see a sexual relationship with this Buffy, and it's only a little bit her age........she's not ready for that, in a healthy way, he could get in a lot of trouble, and her body has so much healing to do. I think this particular relationship could be so complex if if doesn't have sex involved for a while. Does that make sense?

Uust started reading this today, The first chapter is awesome, it had me hooked, now I'm reading to find out what happens next. Your first chapter and I'm thinking you should be pulblished, (i read a lot, I probably spend a couple hundred dollars a month on books-less since I discovered this site and the quality of some of the fiction). You've had a lot of stress and bad things happen to you and I think this story has become more a job to get through. The first part is like custom cabinetry and now it seems like high end store bought if you understand the analogy. Its still good, but the "richness" and the details have declined.
