Ooooh! A real slayer dream! With Faith/Susan! Awesome,

What in the world caused William to close up like a clam? Just that Elizabeth didn't respond in kind to his sentiments? That doesn't seem fair. Or embarrassment and shame? No, William wasn't shy and seemed very forthright in his actions and desires.

"311 ahead stained with red." Hmmmmm.....

Author's Response: He's just a stupid man. They really can be ridiculous at times. : ) Glad you picked up on the Faithyness!

I am just so intrigued to see what happens next. This is her first intimate encounter. And I think that right now William wanted to put it all out there. They both were not really ready. I am glad that she had that dream. Maybe Susan can help them through dreams. Awesome chapter.

Author's Response: Thanks Letitia! I think you're right about William--and where they both are in the situation. And I don't think we've seen the last of Susan. : ) So glad you enjoyed the chapter!

I loved how William's journal entry tied-in with his most recent experience with Eliabeth, the Darla part has me a bit worried though. And I liked how you made Elizabeth's dream both cryptic ( the “311 ahead stained with red.” part) and insightful. (show him to live again) Great chapter as always!

Author's Response: Thank you, MidnightGirl! I'm glad you made the connection with the journal entry--that's more of an explanation for his behavior later on in the chapter. So happy you liked it! : )

Poor Elizabeth, okay I understand how he feels, but was treating her so coldly necessary, she's so young and he isn't , he should expect her to feel a bit confused over a new experience. That Susan dream was real ominous "311 ahead stained in red" hmmm, can't wait to find out what that means ,as well as who her uncle really is.

Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing, Jo! William's reaction has more to do with issues within himself rather than frustration directed at Elizabeth, but I agree, he definitely acted poorly...Answers shall be forthcoming : )

Well, I keep *trying* to review this chapter but it won't let me! (the words weren't showing up and then it didn't submit) Hopefully I'll have better luck now . . .

This is a fantastic story and one of the best, best historical fics I've read in a long time. I love the naivete Elizabeth can have and the way that pairs with how William is :) they're really a great pair-but things also aren't easy for them. And Giles being there just adds a whole other layer (and now with the dream . . .) I love it!

See, it let me review, I'm going to make the most of it

Author's Response: Aw thanks for the persistence, Suzee! I greatly appreciate it! And I'm so happy to hear that you're enjoying the story!

Author's Response: Thank you for the review, Sarah! I think Elizabeth was simply thrown off guard by his ILY--she's a little overwhelmed by the situation. I'll update soon--I'm so happy you're still enjoying it!

The first part was hot :) Elizabeth didn't notice that William was hurt when she didn't say a thing to his ILY. Hopefully he'll give her a chance to talk to him.
But then hmmm Elizabeth is dreaming. Sounds almost like a slayer's dream to me. (The character death had me thinking today, but maybe it's not about Elizabeth or William, the dream let me think that; and Susan.)
I hope too that Elizabeth will stay.
~ Looking forward to more.

Author's Response: Thanks, Cordy! The first part had me nervous lol. I'm glad that you're pondering the story. It's really fun to hear your thoughts on what's going to happen.
