This story was absolutely breathtaking. I really hope you post the epilogue at some point; I'm really eager to know what you had in mind (a canon ending perhaps?).

So much heartfelt emotion in this one. I do hope it is completed at some time. These last couple chapters were heartbreaking.

I'm not sure whether you still check reviews from this site, or whether you'll see this, but I feel that I have to review and let you know how much I loved reading this story.

Wow. Incredibly well-written and so detailed, and so much heart-wrenching emotion. I could barely read the last couple of chapters because of the tears blurring my eyes.

I loved the supernatural elements, though I was glad that they did not overwhelm the plot. The love story between William and Elizabeth was so beautiful, a natural progression and it was a delight to read.

I was sad to see no epilogue, but the story ended on such a hopeful note that its lack doesn't matter all that much (though if you were to see this, and one day return to upload the epilogue, that would be wonderful.)

Again... a fantastic story and definitely one of the best I've read. Thank you for such a great read.

Author's Response: Oh my goodness thank you for such a lovely review! How funny, I rarely check the email attached to this account anymore and had this delightful surprise waiting for me today : ) I'm so happy to hear that you were moved by the story! I have felt so guilty for abandoning this fic, but truthfully I am in the process of turning Dreamtime into an original novel and it has been difficult getting back to the Spuffy version. The epilogue is complete, but I have not been satisfied enough with it to post it. I will try to keep working on it though. Thank you again for your sweet response! It's always so motivating to hear that people are still interested in this story : )

....

You hear that? That is the sound of absolute speechlessness, in which this story has rendered me...

I love a fic that is written so well that you go through a hundred different motions, all so strong you seem to be caught in the action of the story. I was overwhelmed with sadness in the last couple of chapters and I actually cried, turning away from the screen with the pain in my heart for your characters, totally and utterly rediculous, I know; it only happens to me rarely while reading fanfic. So well done! Ten million gold stars for you :P

Just a question, although your story seems pretty much baked and done, it is marked as incomplete... is there more? (*hint* gimme more please!!!!)

This is such a heartbreaking story but told so beautifully. I think this is one of the fanfics I will remember and cherish always.

Author's Response: Thank you so much, Francine! I can't think of a better complement! : )

I was afraid to read this because I knew it would hurt and I thought I was all cried out after the last chapter. But I was wrong again. The tears still fell and it felt good. It's been sometime since a story has affected me so deeply.

The one saving grace is that William is now not alone. He's got his son and Dawn by his side where they belong. There is no way that his life won't be filled with love. They'll drive him crazy and make him smile even when his thoughts fill with memories of Lizzie and all he wants to do is cry.

Author's Response: Thank you for continuing with the story, Shadowsbabe! I understand that it would've been difficult to read after the conclusion of the last chapter. It makes me want to cry just hearing how deeply you were touched. You've summarized William's situation beautifully--he can still find joy in life even without Elizabeth, which is something she taught him.

I wouldn't want it to stop here either, because it is a story about hope and second chances, after all. Oh good to know. :)

I wondered first who was the person at the begin; so Dawn is with William.
No, I don't thought so either. After all in a way Giles is responsible for Buffy being dead / Spike coming too late to get her. So I didn't guess these two would stay together.
*sniff* A very sad chapter in a way (or should I say bittersweet because it has hopeful tones too?).
And even if it's sad, it was beautiful written.

Author's Response: Thank you, Cordy! I'm glad you were able to see the hope in the chapter.

Sleep, my love. I’ll be there when you wake. - Okay I'm crying for real now. I honestly was afraid to read this chapter, but it wasn't as hard as I thought. You managed to bring out the good and bittersweet notes. Williams letter was beautiful. Lovedto read about his relationship with his son and that he found a new family with Elizabeth friends.

Author's Response: Thank you, Zaira! Always happy to get some bittersweet tears : ) I'm so glad the chapter wasn't as painful as you thought it would be. I tried to end it on an uplifting note, and I'm happy you felt that.

Jeesh annie , i was looking forward to this chapter because I thought she wasn't really dying , instead he's been without her for 7 yrs, too long , thank God he didn't move on although I detected sublte hints to that effect in his letter. it should have been giles to die not her , that rat bastard. I'm looking forward to seeing how this all gets resolved.

Author's Response: Ha sorry about that one, JO. I did not mean to imply that William moves on--I don't think he ever will. Like he mentions in the letter, he only survived because of his responsibility to Eli and Dawn; and of course pain naturally changes over time. Thanks for reviewing!

*grabs a tissue* That was so beautifully bittersweet, you did such a great job of fleshing out these characters and making me care about them that reading this chapter had me in tears. *sniff* Good update.

Author's Response: Thank you, MidnightGirl! It means a lot to hear that you were deeply invested in the characters. I have loved hearing from you and am really happy that you were moved by the ending.

Hello there. I've just caught up with the last three chapters. You made me cry! :( I still love the story, though. It is beautifully written. I wonder who Eli is in the future? I've figured out who everyone else is; Susan is Faith, right? (Ch. 25, pt. 2: "The other…Susan, her wavy chestnut hair falling below her shoulders as she wielded a blade made of silver and crimson.") Looking forward to the epilogue. Thanks for sharing this wonderful story.

Author's Response: Aw sorry for the tears, though I'm always happy to pull some heart strings. Good question about Eli--actually I'd originally planned a sequel in this universe which deals quite a bit with his future self. It might still happen, so I won't answer just in case. Susan is essentially Faith, yes. Thank you so much for the review, IT!

::sniff:: Okay, so we are ending William and Elizabeth's part of this tale in sunny Bermuda, with the blue skies and the fluttering birds.

Willow was a surprise, but Dawn opting to stay on with William wasn't. Once his Niblet, always his Niblet.

I'm really looking forward to the epilogue, and hope you bring it back round to where we started, with Spike, all those chapters ago. That aspect of this story has kept me very intrigued.

Author's Response: Ha well, I just killed the heroine and I'm a sap, so a little bird fluttering was in order. Funny when you mentioned that in your last review, I was like "Well...er, no birds per se..." lol. Epilogue is coming! Had some writer's block with it but hopefully I'll have it finished up soon. Thanks for the comments!

Aww.... I feel both sad and immensely like crying after I read William's letter. I'm such a wimp. :P This was a fantastic chapter, and I thought that it was very beautifully written.

Author's Response: Aw I'm glad you were moved by William's letter. Heh it made me sad writing it. Thanks for reviewing, Astoria!
