If Spike is lucky the chip has burned out now.
That new dimension looks at last good, harmless. I hope it isn't dangerous. Spike is still a vampire even if he can go in the sun. Maybe he's still strong. *nods* Still quick moving, must be strong too. And a successful hunter. Thought so, all the years being around have taught Spike something. It's helpful to have him around.

And Brutus is an honorable man. Spike too. Not easy for him, that makes it even harder when Buffy is so different to him.

Author's Response: I was always bored with Riley, but didn't dislike him until he staked Spike like that. It was such a mean, disgusting thing to do to someone who couldn't fight back. Then, in 'As You Were', I really got to despise him for his hateful, bullying tactics!
