Then she closed her eyes and kissed the place where his cheek was, leaving a kiss print in the mist.

Spike felt that kiss, even through the glass, and it made his heart burst with warmth at her easy affection. He looked at her through the window, his eyes saying all he wanted but couldn’t. The rain ran in rivulets down his cheeks as his curls relaxed from their gelled state, falling into his eyes because they were so long. He saw that Buffy was about to open the window again, knowing that if she did, he wouldn’t leave…ever. He stopped her with a shake of his head and mouthed the word later, then dropped to the ground and headed off in the direction of Restfield.

He didn’t see her draw a heart around her mouth print.

The last part was totally made of awesome. sighs dramatically. off to chapter6.

A fantastic story! Your description of Spike and his thoughts and his interaction with Buffy, while she deals with the "gift" are all so perfect, and I don't know if I'm more eager to read the two of them together in the IHOP and talking about claims or to read how Buffy tells the group about the changes in her and what might happen then! Please update soon, share the love and narrate to someone to type for you, they'll be lucky to hear your story!!

GAWD, this chapter was so full of raw emotions - had me all choked up, *sniffs*. And whoa, she 'started' a claim, now that's interesting... wonder what happens if it isn't completed - will it fade, or remain to torture them both with its 'pull'? And WOW, I was truly moved byt the last scene, the fogging of the window and her kissing him - him missing the heart she drew around it. Sighs, such a lovely chapter boo, very well written, made the characters and feelings jump right off the page, bravo, I bow to you oh Mistress Carrie, giggles. Luv ya boo.
