As for the chapter it was wonderful! I liked your characterization of Merrick, his talk with Buffy was great. I especially enjoyed that he fixed it so Buffy could hear Spike's inspiring words of love. And his confession about Travers made me laugh... lol! Good update!

I'm really liking this story .Love Merrick , he makes more sense than Giles , who I thought was too black and white with how he saw demons . Loved the line from "Touched" , I hope it doesn't mean Spike will die again .*sighs* Spuffy luvin' soon please !! Merrick was always my favorite watcher (not that crap guy in the series - seriously, where did they get him?) and Giles was definitely one who saw in black and white, no shades of gray. It's a shame really *sigh*. Nope, I can promise Spike won't die in this story - girl scout's honor! Merrick was only giving Buffy a taste of what her future could be like if she didn't change things. This chapter was so interesting. I'm supposed to be studying but I couldn't wait to read your update so here I am. :D

I loved every part of this chapter. I like what they talked about Angel and the Scourge. Loved how Merrick approved of Spike. I most especially loved the use of the scene from Touched. So, yeah, basically, I loved every part. :)

I hope we don't have to wait too long for the next chapter.

Fantastic, emotion-filled chapter, honey! You made me cry, evil woman you. Good thing I love crying when it's for the right reasons, like a good book, a good movie or a wonderful story like this one. I just loved how the chapter played out, the dynamics between Merrick and Buffy, the way he explained things to her and how she accepted those explanations. *happy sigh* I'm really looking forward to how it all is going to play out from here on, although I have the basic the idea, you're truly making it a lot better than the first version. *wuggles* It's a pleasure to help you out in any way I can.
