the story is NOT lame! I waited a long time for this chapter, which would make ME lame if this story was lame. which it isn't. :D

spike is great as a jerk, love that whole foot-in-mouth-syndrome, although he doesn't know it himself. and wouldn't it be too funny if buffy really did kick his ass? *grin* some feminist smackdown?

must also mention how i love your charecterization (is that how you spell it? never mind) of the scoobys, they're dead on. update soon!

Author's Response: You've totally convinced me that my story is not lame. I swear you did! You made me feel a thousand times better about this thing I love Spikes foot-in-mouth syndrome as well. It kills me! And don't you worry about Buffy kicking his ass...I see that somewhere in the future...but I'm no psychic or anything, I'm just an author :) I'm so glad you like my characterization of the scoobies. You have no idea how tough it can get writing a whole ensemble.

Great update...I was just thinking of this story the other day and hoping it hadn't been abandoned. I liked Spike and Buffy's convo. It was going well until Spike opened his mouth. Even tho it's understandable, Spike doesn't know what's going on and Buffy just gives off that spoiled princess bratty vibe.lol And then bitchy Buffy was back. And now she doesn't even wanna be friends. This story is funny and snarky..love that. Can't wait til they find out about each other.

Author's Response: Laziness + Writer's Block = abandonment of fic. Luckily, I was able to get over my writer's block (but not the laziness) and the product was chapter 6! Haha glad you liked it. I love snarky Spike as well. So annoying, yet deliciously adorable.

I'm enjoying the way these two needle one another. Spike's disgusted reaction to the romantic scene unfolding over in Buffy's bedroom was also funny. Sure, he doesn't care at all.

This made me laugh: “Calm down, Betty. It’s not like I was gonna steal your precious football or anything.”

Actually that’s exactly what his plan was, but she didn’t have to go around basically accusing him of it. That was just plain rude. Spike befriends Dawn and Joyce is hysterical. I 'm enjoying the way he's already getting under Buffy's skin. It's a mutual anti-dmiration fest!

Author's Response: Your good at picking out my favorite lines! This was my favorite one as well! I freakin love you! I love the whole Spike/Dawn/Joyce family bonding thing. It makes me laugh when Spike tries to join the fam.

Spike's bitching about small town Sunnydale is already funny, and i like that both he and Buffy have the same job. Xander's little foray into fantasyland with Miss Calendar and snakeskin belts and Miracle Whip was all kinds of wrong.

This gave me a laugh: “My father’s a bloody wanker," I respond.

Aunt Jenny gives me a look. “Hey. That’s my big brother you’re talking about.”

“You’re big brother’s a big wanker” Nice one, Spike.

Author's Response: I'm sooooo happy you took the time to review every single chapter. Your a goddess! That was actually one of my favorite lines in the chapter and I'm so happy you thought that line was funny as well.

Love that part. And the way that Xander and Cordy are working at avoiding their attraction with their usual insults. Wonder how much longer before Spike and Buffy figure out what they have in common. Loved the chapter. Thanks for the update.

So Buffy's friends aren't normal too. Wouldn't have guessed Anya, Angel and Doyle being half-demons.
The chapter was fun. But Buffy and Spike are still in denial of the other's abilities ;)
