Unexpected side of Spike (what he showed when they were at the diner). (PS - Spike ..poured ..blood onto her pancakes his pancakes? I don't think he let Buffy eat it with blood?).
Good idea to have the other room with the bathroom, it's more convenient. I wonder if Buffy noticed that she made herself at home there.
And it doesn't look as if Spike would let her go for good :)

I really like this story. I love it when Dalton or another vampire who isn't just brainless dust-waiting-to-happen is involved with Evil Spike. Good job describing Spike's actions, and even how he tries to busy himself rather than wonder why he saved a Slayer. Of course, i'm really wondering about whoever it was who paid for the Slayer dead or alive! A watcher? An ex-watcher Warlock?

Author's Response: Spike's personalty always was as a watcher and he would study his victims especially slayers (I was tempted to say stalker but that seemed so harsh especially since unlike Angel's lurking, he would chip in sometimes to help save her throughout the series). I figured this start would be a perfect way to introduce him and build her character. Hopefully its working. Thanks for the review!

Well, my interest has been properly piqued! I always like early Spike fics and I'm very curious about how he'll end up facing Buffy the first time. Good set-up for the rest of teh story.

Author's Response: Got a while yet for that but I can promise it will be interesting. I always liked the contrast between the evil vampire Spike and his more humanistic side. One minute he could be almost sweet and then the next, a total vampire. I don't know if I can capture that for this story but I"ll see what happens. Thanks for the review!
