Well Drusilla did have 100 years to claim Spike for her own so it's partly her fault but I guess she's really not going to see it that way. I actually kind of feel sorry for her. I wasn't expecting that, but it is pretty devastating.

Ha! As IF a shower is really gonna wash off Spike's 'mark'! Not to mention all the other probable bruises and hickies that undoubtedly were bestowed on her by 'her Master'!!! (Joyce must *really* be drunk this time not to notice those! But what's Willow's excuse for not noticing her friend's banged up (and banged!) 'morning after' look? And Angel's gonna flip his lid!
Man! Drusilla sure wants some drastic acts for a penance! And Spike doesn't know quite where he stands in this? You figure that at this point Buffy hasn't researched claims/mating yet, and apparently Spike doesn't know enough about them either to realize what has happened between them? Was the magick ot that so strong that it cancelled out Ethan's spells' effect on them, or was it co-incidence that Ethan's spell wore off right then as well from the breaking of Janus' statue?
I know too many questions! But it just means I actually read it all, and not just the smutty parts (OK, I re-read those parts several times!) I'm enjoying it and looking forward to the next chapter!

Author's Response: Well thanks for the review and the read! of course, everyone in Sunnydale only see what they want to see! Spike doesn't know about mating claims because Dru never mated with him. She belonged always to her Daddy-Angelus! Spike wasn't under the spell, she was....he was just there for the ride!!! Ha Ha pun intended!

PS: If you put the dream sequence when Spike remembered in italics it would be better to detect as his memory. If you don't know how I can give a link where it is shown.
Mmmm took Spike some time to figure out that he had claimed Buffy in the heat of the moment.
Same to Buffy, she figured it out now.

Author's Response: Yes I would love if you let me know how to do it! I've tried so many different ways and nothing! Let me know and I'll fix it! When I wrote in on word, I did have those words in italics. On Buffy and Spike, yeah the heat of the moment people tend to lose themselves!
