You're absolutely right, too -- those auto-translations from W&H are nothing more than an evil wikkipedia. I'm surprised they never addressed that in the series -- Wes is getting sloppy!

Nice attempt to divert there, at the end but I don't believe it for a second. Buffy is choosing Spike, and Spike is choosing Buffy. Hell, even William is choosing Buffy. Can't wait to read more.

Another fascinating twist - it's no wonder you're having problems keeping the plot straight. I'm so glad you've raised the problem with W & H's miraculous book system. It was far too convenient and open to fraudulent use as far as I was concerned, and I was always amazed that Wes (an academic to the core) took it at face value and didn't demand to see primary sources. Translations from a language that no-one could check for accuracy takes it even further - we know how much one word mistranslated or mispronounced can change things…

I was relieved that Buffy stood up to the rest of them when it came out that she’d been sleeping with William (though actually the far more attractive Spike) and loved it that Willow is keeping her secret – though whether Xander outed Buffy accidentally or on purpose is open to discussion (he always was a dog in a manger and this wouldn’t be the first time he accidentally did something ‘for her own good’). Someone smack the boy (please!) and tell Angel to butt out for that matter…

So, a day until the denouement – not sure whether that’s too long or too short a wait… Gill


Author's Response: I never could understand why Wes was so trusting of that on AtS - it didn't make any sense that he wouldn't check out the primary sources. So here I used the translations to really get the point across. I don't think even Xander knows whether he outed Buffy on purpose or not. He does blurt out things without thinking, as in 'Pangs' when he let slip that Angel was there for Thanksgiving. I hope all the twists will be straightened out into a believable pattern tomorrow. and I won't have any loose ends that I've missed. This is the most plotty story I've tried. I'm glad you're enjoying it, but I'm worn out. :D

I am beginning to wonder and I don't want to ruin anything and I have to admit at first I thought like with the Xander episode when there was two but now I'm thinking along the lines of Glory and Ben. This would be a new concept of stories; I hope I didn't ruin it if I'm right but I can't help but wonder what will happen and try to figure out the answers. But I'm not the writer so I won't really know until I read them. I am so glad you have updated as often as you have looking forward to the next chapter.
