Jeez! Harlequin Historic, much? That was kind of a compliment, by the way, even though it's extremely cheesy! And still I can't stop reading! Your writing is truly addictive, and even though I find the ancient language really annoying at times it's mostly just... cute. Practically charming. I'll look forward to an update, both with intrigue and with dread. I've never felt so conflicted about a fic before... but in a good way! I think...

Author's Response: Well, I guess we are both conflicted. I don't know whether to be insulted or flattered by your review. Either way, thanks for it.

Awesome update! Looks like they might actually be getting somewhere this time. Buffy definitely needed the council otherwise she would have problem just thrown the necklace in his face! I love how fiesty and passionate she is. If she was just a demure, shy flower that the roguish William charmed it would be boring and this story is anything but that!

Author's Response: Oh she would never be a shy flower. It's not in my nature to write her like that. Even the few times I've written Willow, she even has some fire to her. I'm a woman with bite, so that's how I write my characters!

Jewelry and ballads are a great way to quell ruffled feathers and perhaps William has temporarily smoothed things over with Elizabeth. Nice chapter showing how each is struggling to find common ground. Look forward to more chapters.

Author's Response: Thanks Vette for the review and again for the banner!

Mmmh I wondered if Elizabeth would kept the gift, I thought she wouldn't.
I will look forward to see how they'll get along in the future.
Clever to use the ballad. :)

Author's Response: Thanks cordy for your review. I just wanted to take the time to say, that I appreciate immensely the time that you spend to review each chapter. Thank you so much.

I like how she kept the gift and didn't let the fact of her initial response keep her from what she wanted. I can't wait to read of their travels and arrival to the King. But it is a wait I'm willing to endure to read the every day needed occurances that you write so well.

Author's Response: I was torn on which way to go, I'm glad what I decided you enjoyed. *blush* that you likey my writing! I will try to make each chapter as you wait better than the last...I hope!

The way things are going, the King is going to be sooo not amused!

Author's Response: No, no he is not!

Another good chapter. I can't imagine how Elizabeth and William will ever become a couple since William has to follow the King's edict. Please update soon.

Author's Response: And this is the problem. William wants her, but the King's demands stand in the way. Keep reading to see how this all works out.

I like this story but there are a couple of things that don't sound right. They keep calling William "your Grace" but they would only call him that to his face, if they were talking about him and he wasn't there it would be "his Grace" and I don't think Buffy would call her father Lord Summers-she would say "my father"-even though I'm English I'm no expert on old customs so I stand to be corrected

Author's Response: Thank you about the Your Grace and His Grace faux pas. I went back and change this is all the chapters. there wasn't many, but one is too many. As for Elizabeth calling her father by his title, she does so when she is referring to him. It's a sign of respect. Numerous movies that I have seen about this time period, when it comes to nobility children, they do call their parents by their titles, especially when they are older. It's a sign of respect. During the earlier chapters, she does call him father, but also Lord. She does so more to irk him and be disrespectful. In this past chapter, she did so for respect, especially since she was talking about him, not to him.

Author's Response: I actually meant Noble children not nobility children
