I'm glad Buffy called Giles to ask him to get researchy on Spike's problem. I have wondered why Spike was so adamant that she not call to ask for help. I'd think he'd do anything to be able to stay with her. Hmm, I suppose she'll get the answer out of him - eventually. It doesn't seem like they'll be doing much talkin' for a while with how the chapter ended ;)

Not a good way to wake up and to start worrying and assuming the worst.
But still nothing is solved. I wonder what Spike thinks why the others can't try to help him to stay.
I really hope Buffy can convince him that they should try to do what's possible. *fingers crossed*

Sounds like Spike is harboring a secret that he is not telling Buffy for fear of spoiling their time together. Such intrigue! Look forward to more chapters.

OMG I love this story, it has all my emotions going. Makes me sad and happy at the same time.
I adore this Buffy, she is not gonna give up on Spike. But what is going on w/Spike? he knows more than he's telling. Can't wait to find out.:)

I love that Buffy's being realistic here and she still wants Spike with her in the real world: Something about this seaside town was magical, giving the last few days an out-of-time feeling. Real life would be silly squabbles over dirty dishes, not idyllic walks on the beach.

But it didn’t matter. They would be together, and she wanted that so badly. She's right, a relationship isn't all rainbows and butterflies, but the payoff is enormous and it's worth fighting for. Spike obviously knows something and he doesn't want to share with Buffy. The kissing is just avoidance. Hopefully Buffy will be able to get him to talk.

Thanks for updating this charming, emotional story. It's a pleasure to see more.
