Always wished Buffy was there to defend William/reassure him after Cecily's public trouncing of his heart and feelings. The outburst just gives us a smidge of what is to come out of Spike later. Since it's not Cecily that leads William to Dru (since I'm going to assume that Dru is the "soul sucker"), then it's got to be the heartbreak Buffy brings him later.

I'm liking the interplay between Buffy and William lots. Update soon!

Author's Response: I always feel so sorry for poor William every time I watch Fool For Love. He's just so heartbroken and humiliated and I feel about it just like you do. Great minds think alike and all that, right? ;) So of course I had to have Buffy be there for him as much as he would let her at this point. Though nobody would be disappointed if something bad happened to Cecily. *shrugs* Hee... they're very pinch-cheek worthy, aren't they? Don't worry, nothing too serious. I don't think Buffy will be in any serious relationship, maybe mention of some casual dates, but othar than that nothing.
