“I’m not the man you love. I’m a shadow. A bloody shadow!”

“No. That’s not true. I’ll always love you. No matter what.”

He laughed emotionlessly, the sound chilling her to the marrow of her bones. “You wouldn’t.”

They shared a dream. How both are still haunted, but more importantly, still connected. It's simply amazing. And sometime soon, they will meet again, because fate could not let them be apart forever. And he shouldn't presume to answer the question of what she would sacrifice to love him, still. Though we both know neither will go about it in a smooth way that would limit the heart ache. They are always drawn to the misery. :) Part of why we love it. Update soon!

Author's Response: Indeed they did, but neither realizes it. Though Spike wishes that Buffy's words were true and she'll love him no matter what, as she said. But we know it'l be a bit more complicated than that, right? ;) Where would be the fun in them falling into each other's arms right away? Buffy will hvae to struggle with her hatred towards demons and all that Giles had taught her. Spike has his own demons to deal with (pun intended). As you said, they really are drawn to the misery. ;) More soon! Thank you for the awesome review!!! :D

*checks last chapter* Oh right, Buffy didn't see him, only Spike saw.
And now she's dreaming, huh?
The white flower sounds like what happened to Spike....
Hopefully Buffy will remember that Giles is hiding something.
Mmmm I need you! Even like this. I'll take anything I can get. Hopefully Buffy won't forget she said this, either.
< 3 that they shared the dream.
Crooked path I didn't understand except that Buffy maybe have to leave the path and follow her heart.
Looking forward to more. :)

Author's Response: That's right, it was only Spike. :) Buffy's getting clues to William not being exactly dead though the possibiblity wouldn't occur to her. Hee... you're clever, the white flower was a symbol of purity/innocence and it concerned them both, but more Spike than Buffy. About the path, it can be looked at from various points of view and yours is correct too. You can also think of it as the future ahead is complicated (crooked) instead of simple which would be a straight path. Gotta say I love that you're guessing the meanings! :D And yeah, she will remember that Giles isn't upfront with her though she won't confront him right away. More soon, and I <3 you! ;) Thank you for the lovely review!!! :D
