Author's Response: Hee... so do I. I really enjoyed writing the Lily/Spike interaction. Finally someone who takes him as he is, sees the goodness in him. What makes his act of saving her more telling is the fact he didn't do it to impress Buffy, he simply did what he thought was right and it was just a lucky coincidence she was there. ;) He won't stop trying to convince her of his love. Good to see Spike making an effort to be worthy. Awe :)) So Spike saved Lily. Loved her, asking questions right away, wanting to see the demon. < 3 how Spike took care of her.
What a coincidence that they run into Buffy but a good one. Lily was Spike's best interceder (advocate). It won't be enough to convince Buffy that Spike is good but it's a start.

See how great that works out?? :D So happy you liked Lily because I really enjoyed writing her and Spike together... an imagery of Spike and a little girl just makes me feel all mushy! Finally someone that didn't judge him and took him as he was. Lily definitely has a crush on Spike now. ;) Buffy is now starting to doubt he's just another vamp, so that's good.
