Each little step that they take, there is no way she can resist him forever. Spike always was William at heart, and there is no exception here. She sought him out, no reason why she had to do that, and no reason why she won't do that again. A vampire in a basement apartment. And I love their kiss and her stereotypical Buffy run. Awesome. Author's Response: Hee... right on! ;) Buffy keeps running away from him (very stereotypic of her as you cleverly noticed), but she can't keep it up forever. By coming to Spike and giving him the chance to explain himself, she'd opened up to the possiblity of letting him in completely. Sounds as if Faith would definitely support Buffy with Spike if Buffy would want that. A slayer can't haven enough allies dating a vamp. :D

*nods* Enjoyed the new update. Good to see Buffy care so much to want answers from Spike. He had the chance to explain him a bit. Not sure how much it has helped (how much of it did Buffy believe) because she's running again. Seems as if it was too much for her what Spike told her - or her attraction to him became too much for her. :)

Author's Response: Yup, Faith has a very awesome role of the devil's advocate. ;) She won't mind that he's a vampire, she'll support anything that makes Buffy happy because she's a true friend. Also, her and Spike are kinda similiar in some ways so I'm sure she won't mind him as Buffy's boyfriend. :D Buffy is making small steps, trying to give him a chance to show her that he's not just a demon, but can also be a man. Running is her way of dealing with fear, but she can't keep it up forever and soon she'll just have to decide if she dusts him or gives him the chance... she can't avoid him forever. Hee... yup, the attraction is definitely one of the reasons she ran away. She just can't keep her hands off his devilishly sexy body. ;) Thank you for the amazing review!!! :D

Those moments... And her breakdown with Faith. Love that the girl supports her letting William live. Love how she can sense him stalking her. So amazing how quickly the connection has developed. God knows she needs a friend like that. The connection between them sprung right back up the first time they saw each other, though Buffy keeps fighting it. She's afraid. I am so glad she couldn't do despite the brainwash Giles gave her. I know brainwash sounds harshy because Gile only repeat what he believed to be true because he does care for her. I knew Spike would never hurt her well kill her. Can't wait for the next chapter.

Author's Response: Yup, Giles really cares for her, and he himself is just following the things he's believed all his life as a Watcher. Looks like his worldview is wrong when it comes to Spike. :) Whether Buffy wants it or not, she can't help but see William in him and even though she knows it's her duty to slay him, she can't bring herself to do it. And he shouldn't presume to answer the question of what she would sacrifice to love him, still. Though we both know neither will go about it in a smooth way that would limit the heart ache. Author's Response: Indeed they did, but neither realizes it. Though Spike wishes that Buffy's words were true and she'll love him no matter what, as she said. But we know it'l be a bit more complicated than that, right? ;) Where would be the fun in them falling into each other's arms right away? Buffy will hvae to struggle with her hatred towards demons and all that Giles had taught her. Spike has his own demons to deal with (pun intended). I simply love it. She knows something, though not quite what, and he knows nearly all of it. Absolutely amazing. And the regret that he has for his actions... Such beautiful pain. How different he could have been if he'd simply know that she continued to exist. And her so simply taught that a vampire has nothing to be redeemed by. I await their meeting. So very incredible. She'll get even more clues in the next chapter though she won't understand what they mean. Spike on the other hand already knows and regrets that what he did drove him away from Buffy. He can't change the past, but he can affect the future. It will be hard for him to prove that he still has humanity though, since Buffy is not exactly demon-tolerant.
